I was looking to get a full credit check as soon as possible but I dont want to do it online.I have heard of a way of sending off a cheque ect but would much prefer if theres a way of doing it in a local bank with no strings attatched (i.e not having to cancel or be signed up for anything) is this possible?
Many thanks!

Not sure exactly what you are talking about here - "a full credit check".
Do you mean to see your credit file? You can apply to each of the 3 credit reference agencies to be sent your credit file for £2 each.
If you are talking about finding out your credit score, each company will have a different way of calculating this so there is no real way of saying what it will be. The credit scores you get fro mthe credit reference agencies probably don't take into account your salary so these aren't worth paying for.
What exactly is it you are trying to find out? After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

I'm not sure a bank will be able to help you here, I know you've said earlier you don't want todo it online but for a moment I'm assuming that you don't want to sign up for anything like credit expert.
You can do it online with the reference agencies by debit/credit card for a one-off payment for £2.00 as George says, and the info will turn up in the post a few days later. If you do want to pay by cheque then I think get their addresses from their sites and write to them.
What you get back is all the info they have on you. I'm not sure once again if even the bank sees all that.0 -
