Becoming a Frugal Dougal
After nosing through a few of these threads with great interest, I have decided to create my own! Hopefully one day I will be able to look back and see how far hubby and I have come. And when I say Hubby, I mean mainly me. When we met, he lived in a house that he had saved a very large deposit for. He has always been good…

Here we go!
Hello everyone, I’ve been lurking on here for quite a few months now and have finally built up the courage to start my own diary. I’m married to DH and we have 3 boys DS1, DS2 and DS3. My husband is incredibly generous and a natural spender, whereas I enjoy saving. We are in a large amount of debt, but determined to pay it…

Finally becoming debt free after nearly 20 years

I’ve found reading other people’s journeys motivational and hope that writing my own will help me too. I’ve had various levels of debt since my first credit card with a £200…

No way out of debt
Please help, I am feeling really really lost and overwhelmed. I made some really bad mistakes 6/7 years ago and I’m in such a mess as I buried my head about it. I have around £22,000 in unsecured debts, all with defaults. I earn £1200 a month and have a spare £37 a month after I’ve paid for my basics such as bills,…

Progressive Progress
So ... I want to use this diary to track a few goals; the main one being to not spend £8000 of income over the coming months. Some of the £8000 will be used to repay some past overspending on a credit card and the rest will be stashed back away in savings under the heading of For When It's Needed to replenish the safety…
