Tesco/MBNA balance transfer query
I recently applied and successfully received a BT from my MBNA card to a 0% Tesco card. I have my new card, and logging onto Tesco Bank it shows the BT was processed on the 25th, but the balance is still showing on my MBNA card, should it not show as cleared? Am I missing something obvious?

Hsbc
I have an HSBC credit card. I got it last year on a promotional offer of 0% on balance transfers for 30 months. In April last year I transferred a balance from my Aqua credit card to the HSBC credit card of £750.09, the Aqua card was now paid off, done and dusted. Since then I have been chipping away at the balance of my…

Any benefit paying off 0% CC?
My question is fairly straightforward. I have one CC with a balance of £360. It's a 0% and I'm paying off £20 p/month via DD. This will ensure that I have it completely paid off just as the 0% window ends. However, I have the ability to pay it all off now. I can't think of any reason why this would be beneficial other than…

American Express® Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card
My family is going on a once in a lifetime trip to New York with family friends, as one of them is turning 50. I am thinking about applying for a American Express® Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card as you get two airport lounges passes included. It said it is free for the first year, then £140/year after that; if I cancel…

Credit card dispute
OK few years back i switched to an interest free deal with a well known credit card company/bank/music company. Unbeknown to me in the small print stated if i missed one payment it would revert to base rate interest. Anyway with all my zero rate cards ive always set D/Ds up to ensure i dont miss payments. I set a fair…

Persistent debt on credit cards
New rules are being brought in whereby your minimum agreed payment on your credit card may no longer be sufficient. Basically, the amount you pay off on your credit card debt (averaged over a year) now needs to be greater than the interest charged. This means that the minimum payment that you agreed to when you applied for…

CCJ Offer
I'm thinking of making an offer to pay off the outstanding balance I have on a CCJ. How likely are these to be accepted if at all considering I'm obliged to pay the full amount. The balance is £287 and I'm offering £200. The agreement already in place would require another 6 months payments. Thank you

I have had a HSBC student credit card for the best part of four years. Always paid it off in full every month (except the first, when I didn't realise the direct debit hadnt been set up properly). However, I have noticed that the credit card no longer appears when logged on to the website or through the mobile app. Does…

ATM charges outside the UK
I have seen a few threads before about this, but there is often little information about 'admin' charges made by overseas banks at the point of withdrawal. It is becoming more and more common, for example I travel with a zero charge Mastercard, but in Canada, where I travel regularly and in Australia, where I go…

Barclaycard Business
Hello! I'm looking for help/advice. Some time ago I took out a Barclaycard for our small business and used it quite a lot, paying off the balance in full every month. Things have not been too good lately I think due to the uncertainty or Brexit and so I resorted to paying just the minimum amount each month but the interest…
