HSBC credit card

I have had a HSBC student credit card for the best part of four years. Always paid it off in full every month (except the first, when I didn't realise the direct debit hadnt been set up properly). However, I have noticed that the credit card no longer appears when logged on to the website or through the mobile app.

Does anyone know if this is an internal issue? As letters go to my parents address, rather than my current uni halls (doesn't make sense to change the address every 9 months, especially since it will be a different uni address each year) I can't confirm if there have been any letters. There doesn't seem to be any messages online. Should I be worried, there was an outstanding balance of about £150.

How long has this been going on for?
Have you tried to use the card. If not, do so. Does it work ok?
From what you say you have been maintaining the account in good order so I doubt that there is anything wrong as such.
Can you not call your parents and find out if there is any post for you from HSBC>

Thanks for the response. It was gone for at least an hour last night, but it has reappeared this morning. If it happens again I may call HSBC.

I have noticed that on the HSBC website sometimes not all of my accounts are showing up. Particulary during early hours. Its probably when the systems are updating or temporarily offline.

Credit card accounts are removed from online banking when they process the monthly run of statements but will reappear once complete.


It usually happens late at night during batch processing and is nothing to worry about.
