Consolidation Loan?
Just wondering if there is any hope for me. I currently owe about £3000 on various credit cards. All of them are high interest, and I have 5 :o Ideally, I would like to get an unsecured loan for £3000 to pay them off as I'm currently paying about £160 a month (just above minimum on each) in total and my debt isn't going…

Trying to sort myself out with card debt
Hi, I was unemployed for over two years, and have a Virgin mastercard with just under £3000 on it. Since losing my job, I have only been able to pay the minimum amount off, which is set up as a direct debit. A few months ago, I rang Virgin, having received a letter saying that if I was having problems with monthly…

Constantly transfering balances
Hi I'm new to posting but have been a 'lurker' for some time now. I have a few credit cards which I always make sure are on 0%. When the rate ends I transfer to another card at 0%. I never used to keep a check on this but now I keep a little 'debt book' with rates and info etc so I'm organised with it. However over the…

Help! RE: Credit Limit & Getting Around It
Hi, I am going to be purchasing car insurance over the next few days. My lowest quote is around £1400. I want to pay it up front to avoid ridiculous monthly charges from Elephant.co.uk but my credit limit is only £1250. Lloyds TSB won't increase my limit because they automatically raised it in June and won't raise it again…

Pre Paid Card Question
Hi all, Am thinking of getting a pre paid card in my pursuit to rid ourselves of our current credit debt. It is on 0% until June next yr but want to bring that forward to Jan/Feb. I'm considering a prepaid card to help with this. Load it and once it's gone it's gone! Currently if I overspend on groceries, I just subsidise…

Barclaycard Switch
I have just completed a balance transfer to Barclaycard, and noticed the line about the BT could only be 90% of the balance.(I assume this is to ensure I use the card as well). Is there any warning if I am not fulfilling this part of the contract, or if I don't build up 10% of my BT in a certain time will the interest free…

Just a quick clarification if anyone knows...
If you miss a payment to your credit card (in this case, Barclaycard) and pay it two days later, should this be marked as one month in arrears on your credit file? Or is there a rule which states it has to be 30 days late? Where could I find the definitive answer on this? Thankyou!

0% Credit Card On Balance Transfers
Not sure how to title the thread. I have been granted a credit card by Natwest for 22 month 0% free interest on balance transfers. I have only been given a £500 credit limit and can only transfer 95% of the balance of my high interest credit cards meaning about £470. Now the terms say that the 0% free interest over 22…

Equifax Free Credit Score?
I have just signed up for the 30 day free trial but I can't access my credit score. I clicked on the credit score link in the members area but it's just directing me to the free credit score page asking me to sign up which I have already done. I thought Equifax gave you the information immediately.

Closing Barclaycard Account
Has anyone closed a Barclaycard account recently? If so can you still access your online account? I called up to have mine closed and the guy I spoke to said that it was done and I'd receive confirmation by post within 10 working days. It's been almost two weeks now and no confirmation (not 10 working days, I know) but…

What's Happened to Diner's Club?
Anyone got one of these cards recently? Had a look at their website this morning and there doesn't seem to be any way to apply.
