Closing Barclaycard Account

Has anyone closed a Barclaycard account recently? If so can you still access your online account?
I called up to have mine closed and the guy I spoke to said that it was done and I'd receive confirmation by post within 10 working days. It's been almost two weeks now and no confirmation (not 10 working days, I know) but also I can still log into my online account and nothing has changed. I haven't yet destroyed the card but I don't want to run a transaction through it to find if it's still active.

i closed mine a few months back. still have online access.
If it has closed you wont have any credit limit.
I could see that my credit limit was £7500 when it was active.
There is now no limit showing on the account.0 -
I closed one a few months back, by writing to them - the 'formal' way to close down credit relationships - I never spoke to anyone.
Didn't keep track of the dates but while waiting for a confirmation I did look online to see if I could still access it, and I could, initially. I guess it was a week or two from my letter before I got one back from them to say they'd closed it. At some point later, I checked the website again and got "We're sorry - we've been unable to complete your log in request."
Then a month or so after that, it was marked settled on my credt report (timing of this will depend what time of the month they report your details).
I expect they do need a certain amount of working days to make sure that nothing comes through late. But if you can still log in next weekend (i.e. several working days after the 10 days quoted, not the exact day), follow it up.0 -
I closed mine last month after receiving a letter from the money grabbers saying they were upping my APR from 17.9% to 21%.
I still have on-line access as I'm still paying off the balance.0
