Credit Card in family members name
I really need to hire a car and do not have a credit card ( I also don't want one), however, if my daughter has one can she put me on as a secondary card holder? I will only use the card for the car and pay cash, then cut it up after I've used it. Is this possible? Sorry forgot to mention I don't have a great credit rating

Barclaycard - Cash-Like Transactions
Hi, I've just had an email from Barclaycard with some changes to T&C's. All pretty standard but one I'm not sure about (below). It mentions 'cash-like' transactions. Any thoughts if this includes paypal purchases (ebay etc)? And if so, how would they differentiate from paypal cash transfers? Also not great for the…

CC and which debt gets paid first
Am I right in thinking that if you have a barclaycard with balance of say £1k and limit of £6k and you have the option to balance transfer at 0% for 6 months and you balance transfer that your payments are knocked off the higher rate balances first ie the £1k? Are there any pitfalls with this if you are paying interest on…

Should I add another CC and shuffle?
I have a Virgin cc with approx £350, and a Halifax visa cc with about the same. Halifax have offered me a 'guaranteed cc', with 12 months interest free on balance transfers. This doesn't let me transfer balances from other Halifax cards. So, I'm thinking, do I apply for the new cc, transfer my Halifax balance to my Virgin…

Is there a maximum time a company can wait to charge your CC?
I'm not trying to get out of paying anything or suchlike, I was just surprised at how long a company took to charge my credit card. I went on holiday on December 14th, they scanned my CC for the extras billed to the hotel room but didn't actually charge me until 27th of February. That seems a little excessive to me.

Halifax Clarity Card - how do I see the amount to pay from my last statement online?
Unless I'm being really stupid here, I can't actually see how much the total of my last statement was for my Halifax Clarity Card online. I'm in the Internet Banking site, clicked on my credit card and then on the "Previous Statement" link. I can't see anywhere that says the total for that month. It's printed on the paper…

Got about £16 in cash back due on the Barclaycard (the one that used to be egg). It's not a massive amount, but I stopped using it for a while whilst I waited for the dust to settle. Just checked this morning and it's showing my cashback anniversary as 1st March, but nothing on my recent transactions to show that I…
