Halifax Clarity Card - how do I see the amount to pay from my last statement online?

Unless I'm being really stupid here, I can't actually see how much the total of my last statement was for my Halifax Clarity Card online.

I'm in the Internet Banking site, clicked on my credit card and then on the "Previous Statement" link. I can't see anywhere that says the total for that month. It's printed on the paper bill I get, but I'm guessing it should be available online somewhere?

Any hints? Cheers

  • Sadly it no longer tells your your previous statement amount online - I noticed this a few months ago and have complained to Halifax about it.

A sort of work around is to go to the statement, then click on "Export" at the bottom left. You can then open the CSV file using Excel or similar, and total it up that way.

Cheers. I wonder why they decided to remove this. Seems like a pretty obvious feature that their customers would like to see.

    It seems ridiculous to me.

I have also have a Lloyds TSB card and they use the same on-line interface from the same software. Only the colours are different. On the Lloyds web page the statement balance is clearly shown, but not so on Halifax.

    Go figure?

I know. It's incredibly annoying. Everyone should complain about it, then maybe they'll put it back!

That's probably why you can't disable the paper statements as they can't be arsed to fix it. The whole online banking experience with halifax is so poor.

I have to say i personally think the online banking with halifax is excellent BUT i do agree with you on this one. The fact that it doesn't give you your statement balance is massively irritating and down right inconvenient. I wish they would change it!!
