Cancelling Old Credit Cards
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to cancel some of the credit cards that I don't use anymore because of their high interest rates etc. What are the potential advantages (e.g. would it help towards credit rating etc) and disadvantages (e.g. adverse credit rating). Some of the banks have started to…

Does a balance transfer count?
I am about to move a partial balance from MBNA to a new (interst free 12mth) card I have been offered by Lloyds. Will the balance transfer (taken from MBNA) count as a "payment" or will it simply remove a chunk of the balance and then reduce the monthly payment accordingly? Hope this makes sense
