Credit Refused – Electoral roll
I’ve just applied for a credit card to balance transfer £3,400 from MBNA (on a £7,800 credit limit) and have been rejected. I have done a credit check - all good apart from I’ve got several unused credit cards (now cancelled), so got my credit score which showed a score of “good” at 455. It seems that the reason for the…

Debenhams Card - Price reduction how do you claim?
I recently purchased a jumper in Debenhams with my Debenhams Card which I pay the price protection policy on - if the item is reduced you will be refunded the difference. The jumper has now been reduced by approx £10. I remember making a claim a few years ago and you had to phone GE Capital (I think) and then they would…

Credit Limit Reduction... Closed my account
Hi this is my first post. I've been with my credit card company for over 10 years. Always made my monthly minimum payment, never missed one to this day. My credit limit was £15,000. A silly limit, I appreciate, but still £15,000. At least until I tried to make a purchase today when my card was declined. I checked online to…

Expired CC info replaced by lender - has led to money being taken w/out my knowledge
Hi all, I wonder if anyone can offer advice on my situation? I have never had a 'blip' on my credit file, I always managed my money to ensure that I have never missed a payment date. A few weeks ago I successfully applied for a Barclaycard Platinum. The introductory offer was 0% on balance transfers for 12 months. Direct Debit or minimum repayment???
Martin's golden rule is to set up a DD to repay credit cards off in full each month. But on his page for 'Credit Rating: How it works and how to improve it...', he says: "Credit card companies may reject you for always repaying cards in full. While you feel like a dream punter, for credit card companies you're a nightmare.…

Hi I am trying to do a 0% balance transfer and 0% interest for as many months as I can. I requested a Barclaycard as my Experian Credit Rating is 'good'. New to all this credit business, a question
Hi there, I'm 24, and new to the whole credit card thing. I had a question, I'm coming close to the end of the 0% transfer fee on my first credit card, when I've found another card to move the balance across to, do I get charged a fee by both banks? Or just the one to which the funds are going? I ask because I've been…
