How can I find competitions that are 'actual/real' competitions (no price drawings)?

Opting out of marketing
Hi sorry if there is/are pre-existing threads on this but does anyone know If you opt out of receiving marketing info by any means eg sms email, phone etc when entering a competition does this affect your chances of winning? Your entry is still included, right? Thank you...

I now know I am an official comping addict , I have been without Internet at home for 2 weeks and all I could think about was all the competitions I am missing out on and finally after hours of being on hold to BT's Indian call centres it seems to be working again yay! a local comp win but a funny story to it!
A week or so ago my local shopping centre started a like and share comp on fb for their new easter header. Only 31 people had done it by today so my husband entered today (closing datę) well we both won it! Along with 8 other winners. So thats 2 x £40 to collect tomorrow. Going to buy a gas bbq :) x
