kids comic winners lists help please

Options
I was wondering if anyone could help me or at least point the way..

i enter lots of comic comps for the grandchildren and of course the kids like doing them with me but my Beef is with these comics not listing the winners  i spend a small or should i say a fortune not a small one each year on these from £2.99 - £5.99 for special edition. not including those i have on subs. my friend pm'd me to tell me about a winners list but she could not send as she did not have permission but checked for my grandchildren's names.. this list was as long as your arm apparently dating back since jan and winners not being informed of their prizes. is there any way we could ask/make these comic company's list the winners names and say their town but that's all ? thank you for any advice..ps perhaps "make" is to strong a word but it really does infuriate me  thank you everyone x

You can ask but there is no requirement for them to list them although they should say how you can get them, they could have something like "major prize winners details (name/county) available for 4 weeks after the comp by sending a SAE", but that could be costly if you have to do that for every competition with a "major" prize.

    Cap code
how and when information about winners and results will be made available. Promoters must either publish or make available on request the name and county of major prizewinners and, if applicable, their winning entries. Prizewinners must not be compromised by the publication of excessive personal information

I wouldn't hold your breath getting anything even if you do win! My daughter was in the Angelina Ballerina mag one month and "should" have received some books. Sent several emails politely asking where they were and never received a response. Daughter was thrilled to see her photo but I was  that they had used it without sending the prize. She's not had THAT mag since

I used to post the list of winners in postals too oddies when I posted sparkleworld & pink mag but then they stopped listing the names and just said winners names available on request. On one or two occasions I saw my DD's name and contacted them but they then sent out the prize and appologised. They did once say it might be another child with the same name but the address was ours so it was my DD's. I agree they should print the names again.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

I think it would almost certainly break the CAP code if they provided that much information

Prizewinners must not be compromised by the publication of excessive personal information

Name and county is all the CAP requires and then it's only for major prize winners and can just be "on demand - eg SAE" and not on-line or published.
