If yes, how would you rate them? Many…

Used ink cartridges
I know that it used to be possible to donate used ink cartridges to charities (they are original manufacturer ones) Does anyone know of any charities that still do this? My preference would be animal or childrens charities, but I'd consider anything that meant not just wasting them.
Gift aid tax return
I donate to a few charities and most of my donations are gift aid. I don't want to claim any money back on my tax return. If I don't say that I've donated money to charity will the charities not get my money? I wouldn't have thought so as if I wouldn't qualify for doing a tax return they would still get their tax benefit…
