I have heard that if I hadn't paid enough tax one year and the charities that I have gift aided to claim the gift aid for my name I am liable to the taxman. Is this true and is there a way of finding out from the tax man who is claiming gift aid from my donations. I cannot remember all charities that I have gift aided to over the years.
