I know that it used to be possible to donate used ink cartridges to charities (they are original manufacturer ones)
Does anyone know of any charities that still do this? My preference would be animal or childrens charities, but I'd consider anything that meant not just wasting them.

That is odd, I googled the other day and didn't get any decent results, but have just tried again and got all the ones you mentioned. I must have phrased it some other way. Thanks for your reply.0
