Santander switch offer pulled
I switched to Santander to get the £175 cashback, but after checking the details of the account switch offer again, it looks like the offer ended on 22 September. I started my switch on 19 September (completed 26 September) but I didn't see anything about the end date then or I wouldn't have done it. Would I still be…

Santander £175 offer turning into a hellish experience!
I've just switched from a donor account to Santander. I transferred over £1000 to meet the requirements of the offer, and set up two direct debits. When I tried to return the £1000 to my own account, internet and online banking were blocked. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone last night trying to get through to Santander, to…

New to Current Account Switching - Where to begin
Foolishly I have up until now ignored the bonuses from current account switching. Previously I had never considered switching my CA as it was offsetting against my mortgage but now I realise I could have just set up another current account and used this for the switch bonus. So now to start and I want to check any issues…

Lloyds switch FABULOUS
I recently wrote a post declaring how easy it was to switch current accounts to Halifax and how impressed I was. I still had to set up two Direct debits and have so much money in the account, but it was very quick. Now I have just switched two accounts to LLoyds, and they are even better. When I switched one current…

Wise 'small conversion fee' between own accounts
Anyone know how to have visibility of this 'small' fee (small percentage or small amount...?) before the funds are in your Wise account that want to send from? I know you can see the fee if, say, you have USD in your Wise account and want to convert it to GBP by sending to your own Wise GBP account, but that means you need…

My Wife has not had her own bank account for nearly 20 years although she does have a FD Joint Account with me. Having recently switched my First Direct Offset mortgage to a fixed rate product with Nat West I am looking to invest our previous FD offset savings elsewhere and in my Wifes name so no tax will be due. Given her…

Over pay on my mortgage while I’m still on a lower fixed rate for a year or keep adding to savings?
Hi all, with the mortgage rates going up so much next year. Is it worth me overpaying as much as possible now while I can afford it and I’m on a lower fixed rate? Or keep adding to my savings account each month? Thanks

First Direct faster payments limit
I distinctly remember that First Direct's faster payments limit of £49,999 via online banking was a per-day limit, and now it appears to be a per-transaction limit thereby allowing total payments exceeding this value within the same day. Or has it always been this way?

Switched bank - now money gone into old savings account
Hi I switched from Lloyds Bank (Club Lloyds) to Santander a couple of days ago but forgot to cancel a standing order I had set up to transfer money from my current account into my Club Lloyds savings account. Why do banks have different times in the day where if you fund a overdrawn account that day you don’t pay any charges? Halifax gives you till midnight, but I see with Santander it’s 8pm. And I am sure with Tesco is was 5pm.

Instant app notifications for both debit and credit cards? Only Natwest?
Is there a bank which sends instant app notifications for every expense on both debit and credit cards? Is Natwest the only one? Does it work? Email from Santander to say that their retailer offers will end on 17 November 2022, and the scheme will be replaced with 'Santander Boosts', a 'new and improved rewards service'. No detail of what that entails as yet.
