Direct Debit - can i make it one-way only?
Hi, I have a Direct Debit set up with a company; they had taken £X per month; I have left said company and the (large) excess credit will be refunded at some time in the future. Can I prevent them taking any more money whilst leaving the Direct Debit there allowing them to pay me?

Re-opening TSB Classic Account
Hi I've recently switched a TSB Classic account to take advantage of the Natwest incentive and was just wondering where I would stand if I re-opened an account with TSB. Will my chances of being accepted be damaged by the recent switch? I've done this before with Halifax but the time gap was 12 months. Any thoughts anyone?…

Bank Account Strategies
Typically my wife and I use our main joint account (Santander 123) as the 'all in one' account. e.g. our pay goes into it, all the bills come out of it.... and its our savings account... not sure if ideal. We have a couple of everyday accounts for personal spends, and we have one main 'Mortgage Overpayment' Account, where…

It doesn't look…

Due to current health issues I have just downgraded a joint co_op privilege account to cancel the holiday insurance as they will no longer cover us. Joint account frozen, no debt, cant close
Hey, I've tried looking for a specific answer and see a lot of similar threads but most seem to have an unpaid overdraft or some other debt attached to it. My problem appears to be a lot simpler yet I'm getting nowhere. Like many people, I set up a joint account with an ex. We set it up so both had to sign to take any…

HSBC "Voice Recognition" Password Problem
Has anybody recently else found it's stopped recognising your voice? Same phone, same voice level. I've tried twice now (on different days) and it still says it can go through. Thought I'd ask here to see if others have had the same problem. The next time I'll hang on when it says it'll put me through to an adviser.

Lloyds block account over Bitcoins
My account has been blocked by Lloyds bank shortly after transferring £300 (GBP) to Uphold.com. Uphold converted the £300 into bitcoin for me, before doing so I had to supply them with my photo ID (UK passport) and proof of residence (UK driver's license). When I phoned Lloyds about the block the only information they gave…
