Packaged Bank Accounts - claiming for late mother?
My late mother had a Lloyds Premier Account. She was upgraded without her consent and did not qualify for insurance on age grounds etc. Is it worth my while trying to reclaim ? Is there a time limit and how should I go about it as I do not have any statements ?

Morrison's Pay @ Pump doesn't take half my cards ?
Hi I live right next to a Morrison's fuel station that has Pay at the Pump. They accept all the cards I have, as it states on the pump itself. Trouble is, it doesn't accept my Santander Select Debit Card, MBNA Etihad AmEx or Starling Debit Card. It just says "sale cancelled". I asked inside why, and was told "mustny have…

I’ve not done this before (or if I have it’s been years as I can’t ever remember it happening before). I paid money in as soon as I was notified so we are talking same day (possibly minutes). Arghhh Bank Account frozen by FRIEND!
Hey Guys, I hate to be writing this post as it sounds pathetic, However, after a night out at the weekend with my husband and some friends. One of our friends got let's say very very merry and ended up vomiting in our cab home. The cost of cleaning plus our fare came to £104.78. I paid in full as my friend was in no state…

Santander App
Has anyone updated to the latest version? I did this morning and apart from moving into the present with fingerprint recognition I would say the new app is crap. A bit like their customer service. Can anyone find out where you view pending payments.?

Best budgeting app?
Does anyone use a budget app they would recommend? Ideally it would link to my bank accounts so I don't have to keep inputting data. It would alert me when direct debits are due, when more money needs to go in, when there is sufficient money to move to savings... Thanks.

Bad Credit Rating - Switch Banks or Not?
Hi everyone, Straight to the point, I have a poor credit rating because of some defaulted payments on credit cards. I think I'll be clear by around March 2019, but I'm not 100% sure. I tried to switch energy provider recently but was told I'd failed the credit scoring test (no idea why, I've been squeaky clean for a few…

Use of personal bank account as a sole trader
Many of my colleagues see no issue with using a separate personal bank account for their sole trader business. My tax advisor has said it’s best to have a business account even in low turnover businesses. I appreciate different banks may have different policies on this. What’s the answer - a fee based account for business…

What's the best way to be paid in Euros?
Hello, my husband is paid by his French company in Euros into his Yorkshire Bank current account. We have realised that against the XE exchange rate, we are down about £170/month due to the poor rate used by Yorkshire Bank. Can you tell me the best way of being paid in Euros (we do need it transferred to £ rather than paid…

Gratuitous switching
Having run out of accounts that I want to switch it occurred to me that one might open an account with some other bank just for the sake of it. Then after a discreet interval switch the thing to someone offering a bonus. This does not seem entirely ethical but neither does the way savers have been treated for the last…
