Best/most reliable bank to "switch to" in order to get a nice reward (eg £100)?
Title explains it all. I have read about First Direct, Santander, and so on. I am already with the Halifax so can't benefit from that one, I already get the £5 a month thing with them. Which is the most reliable bank to switch to that actually pays out if you deposit the £1000 or £1500 or whatever and switch your DD's/SO's?

Transferring funds
I hope someone can help me with this. A couple of weeks ago, I set up a future transfer of £32.70 to pay a small bill on 6th Jan. I was told the transfer was rejected because I should have had the money in my account the day before the transaction and in future, if the same thing happened, I would be charged a fee of £15.…

Bit of a random question I guess but I recently opened an account with Lloyds and applied for an overdraft a few days later. They told me on the phone that I should wait until 13th Jan. as that is the day they get their monthly feed from Experian. I was a bit confused by this and the polite lady on the phone was unable to…

I've credited the account with money now, and I know that there won't be any charges as Santander have a £12 buffer, but does anybody…

I've had this question posed to me, and I'm not sure what the answer is. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful :) Person A has found an old savings book from a local building society. The last transaction was in 1979. There was £39 in the account. She took the book down to the BS to see if she…

The new "Next Day" Payments
Just two questions, that I can't easily find an answer to: 1. Will faster payments now disappear with PSD replacing FP as well as BACS? 2. Will payments from organisations to individuals i.e. loans, super balance transfers, and salaries also go via the new PSD system?
