Can you pay into co.op account at post office by just giving them your account number/sort code or must they have your card?

I'm assuming you're paying in cash, rather than a cheque? If so you'll need your card according to...

I've always been asked for my card - suspect that you may need it although I've never tried without.0

If you're depositing a cheque, you can't use your card, you put the cheque and a credit slip into a special envelope (from the co-op bank) and hand it over. THE PO will give you a printed receipt.

For cash you just need your card, no pin required and for cheques you need a special envelope form the co-op, but your post office might have some.0

If you're depositing a cheque it's usually quickest to post it to them.0
