I tried logging in to Smile yesterday afternoon and again today but their site appears to be down. Has anybody else been having problems? 5 Student Overdrafts - road to ruin?!
I'm very canny with money - as a student, I've got to be. After being inspired by stoozing, I've got 4 student bank accounts with interest-free overdrafts which I have maxed out. £3,600 is in a Fixed Rate ISA paying 6.31%, the rest is in a Principality e-Saver. The accounts are as follows: Halifax - £2759 Abbey - £700…

Tesco & Visa Electron...
For quite a while now, people with Visa Electron cards could put up to £60 worth of fuel into their cars provided they had at least a pound in their account. If you choose the "pay at pump" option on the actual pump, it checked your account to ensure you had funds in there but would then authorise you to go ahead and fill…

Hey, a little unsure of what's happening so could do with some help! I had left my current job earlier this month and was expecting my final wage to go in my bank account on the 19th of this month, to which it did. They paid me too much so I knew that I had to leave some in the account for when they ask for it back, which…

Nationwide account
Hello all, I had this issue a couple of weeks ago and am still fuming about it. Basically I decided I was going to close my current bank account. Lloyds TSB - Current Account Statement "References"
Actually, having typed out the header for my thread, I thought to myself, "You don't mean that. You mean Lack of References." I find the garbage they are putting onto my current account statement, by way of a transaction reference, as completely inadequate and insufficient. Do others agree? Do you feel there is scope for…
