Lloyds TSB - Current Account Statement "References"

Actually, having typed out the header for my thread, I thought to myself, "You don't mean that. You mean Lack of References."
I find the garbage they are putting onto my current account statement, by way of a transaction reference, as completely inadequate and insufficient.
Do others agree?
Do you feel there is scope for great improvement?
Am I alone with this criticism?
Is it just me who feels this way?
I just wondered what others think. Neither does the reference have any time of transaction attached to it - although that would be asking for 'icing on the cake'.

Well, surely this depends on what the actual transaction is... do you really want to know what time of day your direct debits were taken?
How about a specific example? What would William Shatner do?0 -

I think as far as statements go Lloyds TSB are pretty easy to read and understand..
At least if you have a Faster Payment reference you can identify each transaction separately.0
