Too ill to work, too "well" to claim benefits?
Hi all, I have a conundrum. I haven't been able to work full-time for a couple of years, since I was signed off work with severe chest pains apparently sparked by a series of extremely stressful events (deaths, a family feud, caring for a very disabled relative, suicidal girlfriend, noisy neighbours on top). I was told at…

Child Tax Credit Help please.
Hi, I receive 2 overpayment letters at the weekend - 1 for £200ish for 2005/2006 and the second for £400ish for 2006/2007. Now hubby is self employed so we always have to estimate income and back in 2005/6 (I think!) he had a very good year (way over our estimate) so we had been overpaid CTC. Hello all, I know that one is entitled to JSA if they are below the £16, 000 mark, but are there further thresholds for how much you get paid depending on your savings etc. Example, if you have £5,000 you'll get say £50.00 p/two weeks, or if you have £7,000 you'll get £40.00 p/two weeks etc. Thanks. -MickeyDee
