9 weeks & counting for TC!!

Im am getting so narked off with tc I was picked to be investigated which was anooying in the first place as I have never so much as told a white lie to them before & know of many who do!! But II understand why they have to do it. But this is taking forever!!! As it happened as I was putting a new claim in my paymnets stopped so the last payment I had was the 30th July!!! I have nursery bills to pay will hav another bill this week & have no idea how were gonna cover it if we dont get tax credits this week! I have given them all the info they require which they recieved last tue n the compliance lady said it all seems fine but still no money!! Does anyone have any experience of this and can give me any idea when to expect a payment? Atthis rate im going to have to take children out of nursery & quit work! No joke!

14 weeks and counting here! Still no news, constant lines of we don't have a time scale. I've tried the formal complaints route, an adviser rang me last Monday asked me what my 'issues' were, promised to find out what was happening and ring me back later that day, a week later no call. Asked my MP to get involved, he rang tax credits last week to be told they have all the information they require, my claim will be looked at and then gave him the we don't have a time scale line.

I feel your frustration, its difficult to just sit it out when no one will talk to you. Maybe you could try the complaints/MP route?

Hi sorry your in the same boat! It is a nightmare think its discusting how they stop your money while they are sorting it out! It wouldnt be so bad if they kept making payments. I too have been waiting for a call back for a week and have just recieved call telling me im the next case to be sorted out! Just so frustrating to know what to do for money in the mean time we really relie on tax credits for our childcare! Makes me wonder why i bother going to work! So will be back on the phone tomorrow no doubt!
