hi folks this maybe a naive question but if once you go br and you have surplus left at end of the month after paying all bills, food shopping etc. does all surplus go to ipa or is there a certain amount you are allowed to keep to see you through the month for day to day.

Any way to void / complete an IPA early?
Hi all, like many on the board I got an IPA some 5 months after actually declaring myself BR, and as they can take somewhere between 50-70% of your desposable for the next three years, seems to me pretty pointless to actually try to earn anything more than is actually needed per month..
