Had OR interview today

Hi all,
I had my telephone interview today which lasted 45 mins:eek:
To be honest it wasnt a pleasant experience because I was asked about my debts in detail and it brought back some unhappy memories!
(the endless demand letters and constant creditor intrusive and aggressive phone calls)!
Other than that, I think it went ok?
I have been told I wont get an IPO:D but I will get a "nil" tax code.
I was also told that I will be sent a "review" form in 3 months time, I think its a review of my household income??
I dont know why its 3 months but I didnt want to ask, I just wanted it to be over.
Is this normal to most who have been through this or is there anything to be concerned about??
Regards,
Mike.

some OR's will send you a review form but be aware you have to inform the OR anyway of any changes in your income within 21days of that change. You also have to inform them if you come into any type of lump sum, the only lump sum you are able to keep during BR is if you have any compensation for a injury, you would not get to keep any compo that is for loss of earnings just the part for injury.
Im glad it went well for you, another hurdle over!0 -
Hi nervousmother,
Yeah, another hurdle over with.
The only thing that could possibly change my income is overtime.
Now, do they calculate that as an average (because ive been asked to send in 3 months worth of wage slips and my wage has fluctuated due to overtime on occasion).
I have in no way been dishonest but at the same time, I cant predict when and if any overtime would become available.
I hope they dont look at my wage slips and presume that I have lied about my income??
Also, I was told that im to inform them if my partner get a job, I thought it was ME going through the BR not my missus!!
They must take the household income, not the individual income.
I have a cheque from the inland revenue, a rebate. Not a large amount - £130. do I have to declare that too??0 -
yes they will average your earnings out and will know that overtime is not 100% guaranteed.
The reason you must inform them if your partner gets a job is they do start work they will be expected to pay into the household, towards the bills ect. They wont take all her income into account but will expect your shart of the bills would drop.
i would declare the £130 but i have known cases where they let the BR keep such a small amount.0 -
I agree with NM (hi NM! :hello:) i'd mention the cheque rebate because nowing the HMRC they'll have informed the OR anyhow...BUT such a small ammount you'll probably be allowed to keep it...I know they did with me
Hope your well & not too stressed!
Phil

Excellent advice as usual guys!
Im just a little apprehensive and just want things to go right for once in my life!! hehe
Hi phil, Im well thanks and every so slightly stressed (as per usual).
Im currently trying to find all of my old mortgage details etc and wouldnt you know it, its all dissapeared of the face of the earth!! Typical.
My OR has said that she requires all details of the mortgage and selling price, solicitors details etc etc and im worried that my missus has shredded it all!! (she's mad on shredding but sometimes takes a shred too far and its too late once its shredded)!!:rotfl:
I hope she hasnt but what if she has?? Will it cause any major issues??0 -

Wouldnt think it'd cause any issue really...if anything it means the OR will have to source documents instead of you and as I imagine you'd not be the first to be unable to find documents
Hmm what is it with women? my OH is the same she's a shredder fanatic...its the scary look in her eyes and the weird grin on her face that worries me when she's in full shred mode :eek:We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
