Just had a conversation with my DH that got me thinking. I almost always cook homemade stuff, lots of fresh ingredients, variety etc etc and I can't stand most overly processed food. BUT, try as I might, I can't help preferring Smash to real mash, an admission which has actually horrified people. So I wondered what other foods people secretly prefer to the good and "real"thing

I really love packet shwartz 'mushroom and garlic sauce' or 'cheese sauce' poured over pasta.
Everyone else in my house hates it though hahaThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
Young's cod in butter sauce, ping in a microwave stuff. The ONLY packet food I eat, and because it's low in calories and has a sauce with it which is delicious with a plate full of fresh veg.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Butterscotch angel delight (any store version). I know it's full of additives, but it's so good.
Tubes of Tartex veggie pate. Another failing of mine.0 -
I prefer pasta sauce in a jar. I mean, I add seasonings to it, and I won't buy the kind with artificial sweeteners, but when I make it from scratch it tastes too much like tomatoes..which I don't like.0

Sausage sandwiches from the greasy spoon 'caff' near work. I know the sausages are the cheap type that are probably full of pig's bum holes and trotters but it tastes so good, especially when you have a hangover!0

Also, I love Heinz spaghetti hoops on toast with a poached egg0 -
Own brand diet cola. Especially Sainsburys. I massively prefer it to 'proper' Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi.0

I love Tartex too. It's not something you can make yourself anyway.0 -
Tesco value tomato soup (with pasta and cheese) - probably full of sugar/salt/rubbish but I love it!0
