I've been Money Tipped!
I noticed that there are a few threads asking for ideas. So how about starting one for what we have bought for our partners/hubbies etc etc so that it might give others some ideas.

My hubby is football mad. We had a limit of £50 as we are very skint this year. I have made everyone some presents, but i still had to but him some stuff. SO i have get the below:-

Shoot Annual - £3.96. I buy him one every year.
Pixarpedia - £14.28. Its about how they made the Pixar films. Hubby loves Finding Nemo, Toy Story etc etc
Coin Counting Money Jar - £7.83
I Before E, Except after C - £4.99. Hubby is a teacher and would love reading this.
Leather Braclet - £8 off Ebay
Football T-shirt for his fave team (like a normal printed t-shirt, not a football replica shirt) - £12
Fifa World Football Records 2010 - £9.49

So, i think i'm at the total at the moment.

What have your bought/planning to buy for the men in your life. You never know, you might just save someone some hair pulling when all they say when asked what they want is "i dont know" gggrrr. :rotfl:

PS - i had found all the links to the above items, but i'm not allowed to post links yet.

    Great idea! :D

I've not been terribly creative - OH is extremely difficult to buy for!!!

    So far he has:
    Multi-region DVD player (bargain - Currys £29.99)
Three cans of his favourite Sure deodorant and three bottles of his favourite Lynx shower gel (all bought on offer in various places)
A tin of his favourite Twinings English Breakfast tea plus a strainer (this was another bargain, TK Maxx £2.99 - worth £8.99. The strainer was 34p - Asda Smartprice :rotfl:)
A bottle of Radox Muscle Soak bubble bath (will hopefully stop him nicking my good M&S stuff!!!) £1 - on offer in Wilkos.

He's also getting: 2 new pairs of glasses (Tesco Opticians, 2 pairs for £75) his Leicester Tigers calendar (not found this any cheaper than £7.99) also his Leicester Tigers rugby shirt.

Considerably less than what he got last year (last year he got PS3 + game plus loads and loads of clothes, but this year Im on a DMP!)

I dont usually buy him this much, but I have been very ill recently & he has been fantastic looking after me....... (plus the only reason i've been able to buy so much is because of all the great bargains listed by lovely MSE's!!)

    House Season 1-4 DVD
    Wasps rugby shirt - Ebay
Sony Mini Hifi, ipod dock, CD player, DAB Radio - Amazon £99.99
    Wireless headphones - £8.50 - Grabitnow.com
Kodak Camera £99 (but £24 worth of boots points claimed)
    Digital photo frame - Play.com
Kodak PoGo photo printer - £18.99, Ebay deal of the day
    Pogo printer paper - £3.99 - Ebay
Cash Stash Keyring - £3.99 Amazon (genius idea!)
Wii charger pack £2.47 Amazon - Now been cancelled
    OCC T-Shirt - £3.99

For a stocking filler, I've found some accessories for his phone on ebay. Gonna get an old shoe box and decorate it to resemble his phone and put all the accessories inside...

LCD Screen Protectors £0.99 (pack of 3)
Leather case £2.78 (probably not REAL leather lol!)
Silicon / rubberised protective phone cover £1.00 (pack of 2)
    Bluetooth Headset £3.70
In car charger that also doubles as a 3 pin mains travel charger £4.50
So all in all his stocking has cost about £13.

Plus i've seen some tickets for a show i'd know he'd love, but they work out about £60 each - I'm still thinking about this one!!
  • Some fabby present ideas.
  • We didnt set a money limit this yr, so i have no idea if i have bought him enough!:

    Family Guy season 8 dvd
Seal greatest hits cd (when its released)
Crest White strips (teeth whitening kit - he asked 4 it!)
Pringle pyjama set (thank u tk maxx)
    1000 mile socks (marathon stuff!)
    breville sandwhich toaster
    fleecey gloves
    gym bag/holdall
    digital photo keychain
i guess all he needs now is a cuddly toy and mayb sum i-tunes vouchers if i am feelin generous!!
