Loads of people on here have had dealings with these people, have a read around the forums and do a goooooogle search.

You'll soon realise this isn't a fine, and they are extremely unlikely to try it on in court. Ignore all their letters, and don't pay them a penny.

My wife recently got a ticket from this company. This was after being told she could park at the Travel lodge were it was. How is any one to know if this so called company didnt just send a gut around with a notebook and pen writing down everyones reg?. They then say you were illegally parked so a ticket can be served?.
I have told the wife to ignore everything from them but to keep all letters. Fingers crossed.

I quite believe they do, as most people are honest and lots just pay any """fines""" its a good way of making money. I expect 50% would pay, 30% would appeal, lose and pay and the rest come here and just ignore.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

There are no "regulations" applicable to private parking. That's why their so-called "fines" are a complete con.

And to back that up here is a recent ruling by a Judge about another parking company:-

The Judge ruled that Excel could only pursue the alleged debt under the law of trespass, and since they didn't own the land that the vehicle was parked on, they didn't have any basis for a claim.

Which is almost always the case - not always but a huge percentage.

That old chestnut again. I do own a drive, and I would mind anyone parking on it. But my driveway is not laid out as a public parking area, and if someone parked there uninvited, I certainly wouldn't try to con them by using fake parking "tickets", misleading letters, and threats of court action which I knew I couldn't carry out.
