Hi Tara, I've just spent the last couple of days reading your diary! Your posts have been so inspiring and I've decided to make small payments like yourself because it shows from your posts how well it adds up.
I know it must be hard seeing your debt go back up but you've paid of 10k worth of debt and your paying all the bills yourself you should be so proud of yourself. Hope you enjoy having a nice relaxing holiday with no work. I've subscribed :-)

Thanks for taking the time to read through my diary Rachel24 :D. I definitely recommend making small payments as they quickly add up. Good luck with everything :)

    Friday
Spent £15.47 on some snacks to take with me to the hen weekend, a birthday card for my friends wee boy and some toiletries.

    Saturday
Spent £1 on a magazine and £30 on drinks.

    Sunday
Spent £31.50 on travel costs, £14 on lunch and £2 on a magazine

So very little change out of the £100 I took out on Friday but at least I stayed in budget :)

    Today
Spent £45 on a suitcase, £4.50 on a coffee and cake out with my gran and £9.50 on a jumper, cardie and top from a charity shop.

Feel like I've spent quite a lot recently, however, almost all budgeted for which is good. Aiming for a NSD tomorrow :)

We're currently headed back home from being away so thought I'd do a wee round up of spends while away.

    Wednesday
I spent £34.57 on a wedding gift and card, £5.68 on food and £2.40 on travel.

    Thursday
A further £24.40 was spent on travel plus decided to treat myself to breakfast, £7.99.

    Friday
I went out for lunch with some friends - £12 spent. OH came down in the evening, debated whether to go for a drink but didn't due to the weather.

    Saturday
The wedding - had a fab time even though the weather wasn't great. Spent £25 which I'm pretty pleased with :)

    Yesterday
A NSD :D. Spent the day generally relaxing and hanging out with family and friends.

    Today
So far I've spent £3.39 on a b00ts meal deal for us to share while traveling. Will definitely need to pop to the supermarket once we get home.

We debated getting a takeaway last night as neither of us could be bothered to cook, however, decided on a pizza from the supermarket and a cider instead - lovely and much cheaper :). Spent £24.15 overall at the supermarket.

Last day of holiday today :( I've got a contact lens appointment (not sure if there will be any spends for this) and I'm meeting a friend for lunch.

The last of the direct debits went out my account today and I've made a £9.08 payment to the debt :D now sitting at 34.1% paid.

Payslip for monthly wage is in so need to make a budget for next month. Unfortunately my certificate still hasn't arrived so no payrise yet  I'll be chasing it up once I'm back in work tomorrow.

    Thanks monz :D

So yesterday I attended my contact lens appointment, no spends for it. I've to go back in 6 months time though as my vision has deteriorated slightly but not enough for a change in prescription this time.

I then met a friend for lunch - £17 spent and we also did a bit of shopping. Had some vouchers for next so had a look in their sale, got 2 tops and a nail varnish - £3.05 spent. I also spent £8 in £land and £9 on some new running socks.

I've worked out the budget for October, I'll post it later once I'm home from work. I've budgeted a fair amount for toiletries as there's a lot needed and in particular both me and OH need razor blades which aren't cheap.

Today has been a NSD :D

    Budget - £1474.78
    - £1100 usual bills
    - £74.78 debt
    - £150 food
    - £50 toiletries
    - £30 present (sister's birthday)
    - £20 social
    - £50 electricity bill

Me and OH discussed going away for a weekend later on this year, possibly to Edinburgh. We went a few years ago at the start of December and loved the lights and the Christmas market so would like to do this again - better start saving! Will try and finance this from 2nd job as much as possible. I've picked up a wee shift on Friday after my job which will net me around £30 so that's a start. I'll phone tomorrow and see if I can get anything for next week.

I didn't get a chance at work today to chase up my certificate as it was so busy but will do that tomorrow.

I've put on half a stone recently so will be trying to lose a bit of weight. I already do quite a lot of exercise so it must be my diet, I do snack quite a lot. Hopefully if I cut out the snacks, I'll lose weight and save a bit of money at the same time :D

Really pleased with how the grocery budget looks this month although I think that's more down to me being away rather than anything else ;). Will try to keep it under control in October.
