Oh DIA I didn't think that at all. I meant I'm finding it hard to save it for London as the mornings are getting cold up here.

I've actually started looking in charity shops for some work clothes but I might have to go to the next town as there isn't much in ours. I bet your cashmere is sooo warm.

Clock watching today isn't making the day go any faster.

Doing one of my rare 'coming out of hiding' from lurkdom posts because of the winter coat post....

I am currently hunting a winter coat due to an upcoming few days in Iceland. ..in the winter....

There are loads of lovely, practical yet fashionable, warm and waterproof coats on the r3gatta outlet and trespa$$ websites at the minute...

I've just ordered one from trespa$$ for 27 quid. ...down from 99...and it's very lovely (don't think I've posted enough to do links)

Good luck with your ongoing debtbusting tinks!

This might not be what you want to do when you're in London, but there are a couple of really good charity shops - one in Knightsbridge - and one on Drury Lane, Covent Garden. I have bought beautiful barely worn items in both for a fraction of what they should have cost. They are not as cheap as the charity shops up here but the brands are so much better.
I spent £60 on a visit last year and got a MaxMara coat, Jigsaw silk skirt, Hobbs trousers (2), and a couple of tops - all round the corner from their proper stores. They even gave me a Selfridges card bag to put them in.

Hi JJ. That's one of the things I've been looking forward to, charity shops in London must be amazing. I will make sure I add these two to my ever increasing list.

Thank Jumblerina. I have been struggling a bit but yes the trip is keeping me going. I have had a headache since the weekend now. I think I'm just overtired. Recently had new glasses so I know its not that. I have been waking up earlier and earlier and my cough seems to be coming back too. Might have to go to the docs again.

I can't remember whether I said or not, but my xray and sample have both come back clear so that is a weight off my mind.

Be prepared, this could be long.

Why is it that when I am having a good ole think about things I end up going MIA from here.

I have had an idea mulling around in my mind for a couple of weeks now and finally discussed it with DD last night and she is all for it.

So here goes. All being well after Christmas we are moving in with my mum. The all being well part is whether Mr D gets along with Miss B. Mr D is fine with other dogs where as Miss B can be a bit hit and miss. She has been attacked once so is very wary. Also she is so hyper whereas Mr D is so chilled. Going to start introducing them at the weekend on mutual ground. I've done a lot of reading on this but any tips from any experiences would be appreciated.

The other thing is my mum is in a 3 bed council house with gardens, bonus, but she is worried that when something happens to her that DD and I wouldn't be allowed to stay there. The thing is that my family are the only ones to have ever live in this house. My nan and grandad moved into it when it was newly built. Then when my nan got dementia my mum moved in to look after her. So to set her mind at rest we are going to see the council tomorrow as apparently you can only change the lease once and that happened when my nan died. Surely they wouldn't just kick us out if I'm paying rent??

I've started to worry about my mum a lot just lately. She keeps saying things like I've struggled to do this or I can't do that anymore. Also, I've found out that she doesn't have the heating on much in the winter as she can't afford it  This angers me about all elderly people who are on a low budget.

So if we moved in it would halve both our fuel costs and grocery costs. Also, I would be saving nearly £100 a month on dog walking, meaning I could reduce my debt free date dramatically. It would mean selling some of our furniture but a lot of it can be flat packed and stored in my mums loft.

I didn't think I would ever live with my mum again, I lived with her when DD was 4 and it wasn't good. But that was because she tried to tell me how to raise her and her opinion was the only one that should matter. We have moved a long way since then and get on great and I know she gets lonely in the week. We do visit every weekend and I call her but its not the same.

Now if only the dogs get on then we can start making plans. Please, please tell me I am doing the right thing lol. I've never really settled in this flat and I really miss having a garden too.

    Take care.
