£52 spent today in two different supermarkets, our fridge, vegetable drawers and our fruit bowls are now full, and we will be eating lots of smoked and fresh fish the next two weeks. I need to put £12.00 into my milkman and window cleaners purse to pay the four weekly bills; which will be a total spend this week of £64 this week.
This is a huge improvement on Aprils budget so far; really hoping that I can keep it up and not be tempted by so-called 'special offers'.
    Have updated my signature.

    Good morning,
Popping in to update my signature and report £4.05 spent last week on bread, milk & odds and ends and £19.54 last nght in Sainsbos. It has dawned on me that my spend is lower so far this month because I have a stock of cat food and laundry tabs that took me over budget in April, so swings and roundabouts.

    Happy Sunday everyone.

My replacement card arrived yesterday, so withdrew £20 to test it and pay my £5 debt, planning Asda shop as I need tonic water and salad, not much else though, unless I catch a few Y.S. items.
Do I need it or just want it.

Wow, im impressed you have stuck to it for so long, its not a failure - it's amazing.

I was doing well(ish) - and now it seems to be going pear shaped - spent another £15 today. I was going to up my budget, but my son left home, so I left it, but, like a yo yo, he's back, so I will up it the £20 I was going to - so can I please change my May budget to £100 - sorry to mess you around. I have updated my sig.

The problem with having 100% perfect as a target is if you only get 99.9% perfect its disappointing.
I agree with Save Dosh here, that's actually a great achievement, well done for doing so well for so long!!:j
Thank you both, I'm trying to limit the damage :A

Over by just a few £ atm and aiming for a no spend day. Hoping the sun is going to burn this mist off so that I can spend the day in the garden.

Just popped in to update my signature and shocked by the amount that my top up shops are a) so frequent and b) so costly! At least this way I can see what I am spending and try to rein it in! Spent £22.69 y/day in Al*i and at Skipton Market £8.80 on 2 pork pies, 4 pork & garlic sausages, 6 duck eggs and 2 scones:eek:
    Today will be a NSD!
    GC Jan '17 £237.54/£350

It is. What I do if I stock up on something on sale, I know Im not gonna use that month, I will put it into the storecupboard with a sticker with the price on it and incorporate the price, when I take it out to use. This means I can buy bulk items I usually use, without denting the budget. Hope that makes sense (bit like a 2nd purse, but my dumbed down version).

Yes, it does make you think more about impulse buys.

Well I have had a few more NSDs. Off for Sunday dinner with family, so no spends today. Will try and do a mealplan with stores, so I can run some of it down. Will do a shop tomorrow for £20 max - to last the week - that should keep me on budget hopefully.
