Advice on EDF enfergy tarrifs

Go onto a couple of the comparison sites and look at the whole of the market out there, input your current annual kWh usage - the EDF site will give you that information in the quote area. Separate suppliers may be cheaper, EDF electric is £100 dearer than I currently pay and can easily be bettered. You don't have to switch now but there may be some more increases coming.

I am with them for gas only and have just switched to the Jun 18 fix (which is not on comparison sites, they seem to only have the April 18) before it disappears starting 1 Jun after the current fix ends, can't be beaten for me. The 26% unit price increase still made me wince though. No exit fee though so can ditch and switch if something cheaper comes along.

Why do they have 2 gas tariffs with the only difference being 0.005p in the unit price ?

You don't have just two options - as Molerat says - Go to a comaprison website !

You will find probably 50 different suppliers.

You will need your actual consumption for the year in kwh's (not £)

Make the switch before 31 May, after then you will automatically be swapped by EDF onto their standard tariff.

I would question the accuracy of those figures unless no one has been living at the property for a lot of the last year.

However, if they are correct, a zero standing charge tariff such as from Ebico (RHE) would probably be best suited to you
Any accredited comparison site will give the the answer though (but it will be based on the figures you input)
