Not long Princess Kate :) how exciting.

I've been having BH today and can honestly say they hurt! They were regular, sore and deceptive. I've took paracetamol sat with a hot water bottle and they are easing (thankfully as little lady still has 10 weeks of cooking to do!) x

Sorry to disappoint! No baby, just poorly me, hence my absence!'

Firstly-congrats always! And what a beautiful name, it was one of the few I liked for a wee man. Hopefully he'll be home in no time with you, big hugs for all of you.

    Wow, trixsie youve been busy!!

    Lol, princesskate-it's scary isn't it?!

I Hope missy is getting on ok.

I got the stretch part of the stretch and sweep this morning, my cervix is really far back, so she's not hopeful it will be today, but you never know. Baby is apparently over halfway back to back, which is why she's so painful, so I could be in for a long and painful labour-may wanna rethink that 'minimal pain relief' statement I made! :rotfl:

It appears I've also got conjunctivitis now, too, so feeling thoroughly fed up now. Got a nurses appt tomorrow for it, but I had to chuckle,as the MW suggested expressing some colostrum and dropping it in, as it has so many antibodies.

Lots of Braxton hicks, and I can second that krustylouise they blooming well hurt!

Oh no bubble, sorry you're feeling poorly, hope you feel a bit better before baby puts in an appearance. Think they say a S&S can take up to 48 hours to have effect.

I've had an awful cold & cough since last week but I think it's final starting to shift, had an awful night, was so uncomfortable, back was killing, lots of BH i think, bump felt solid all night and had quite a lot of period type pains. BP check this morning was fine & I turned down her offer of another S&S as I was already feeling quite a lot of pressure from baby being so low, maybe wedneday when I see my midwife. Something to look forward to! Ha!

For info: a stretch / sweep will only work if the cervix is favourable - i.e. if labour was due to start soon anyway. So it can get things going but if you were no-where near starting labour in the first place then it won't make the slightest bit of difference.

Thanks guys. I'm ok really, just grumpy and impatient now, haha!

Yep, princesskate-can't have too much excitement all at once! Sorry you had a rubbish night-they seem to last forever, don't they?

Thanks for the info auntiepickle-seems you learn something new every day being pregnant, doesn't it?!

I think I'm at that stage where IMF ed up, grumpy, and don't know what to do with myself, so I may have a nap, it will kill an hour or two at least!

Hope everyone is ok? Wonder how missy is getting on?
