    Evening

Beautiful day and spatchcocked chicken for dinner with roast courgettes (cooked in bread oven), green salad and cucumber & radish salad. Will be an hour or so yet but beautiful evening. Fire lit outside and we are reading or catching up online. Better make the most of the dry weather whilst we can.

Lodger has paid and money moved to porch fund.

    Morning, beautiful sunny morning :)

Mr T has been paid and money shuffled around. DS may be in bed up morning. He had an evening out with his mates and didn't get home until the early hours - should I start strimming outside his window?

Ironing, walking, returning shoes, cleaning on the schedule - a day of ings.

    Better get cracking.

Morning, feels like autumn this morning.

I've been researching photovoltaic panels and how to use them without sending anything back to the grid. What a mine field this is.

It won't be long until both Tilly young people are off either to Uni or training and Mr T and I will be starting our next chapter. Two weeks to go - I may end up weeping on the floor occasionally but will content myself with the fact that it's a tidy floor :)

I have 1.5 freezer drawers full of HM meals for DD - as she is going to be busy outside of Uni as well as her studies.

Tilly tidies over the last 8 months have garnered £311 - not bad for something which you don't notice.

Volunteering - I'm loving the stuff with the local youth population. It's great to see the enthusiasm to learn. Sad that so many life lessons have completely missed them.

Church this morning then DD is off for a training course for a week before Uni starts.

Dinner will be leftovers from the fridges then menu plan starts tomorrow.

    Best wishes Tilly xxx

Hi Tilly, I read your diary last year and have been lurking since. Your achievements really are uplifting. I too will soon have my youngest leave for university.... I imagine I (and many others) will be weeping with you.

Hi Moneyfordreams, us empty nesters must stand strong :)

For those who know me in RL will know our kids are included in our life like friends as well as our kids. They are friends with some of our friends and seem to have inherited the same view of people - age doesn't matter just how well you get on.

However, I'm no idiot, and it really is time for them to return to study or leave for their new chapters. I may be spending a month cleaning once they've gone. The mess is driving me mad.

Right church is beckoning. Afterwards Mr T and I are dropping DD off and heading to a food festival- let's hope the rain holds off.

Ooh Apple, I hadn't realised it was at 9999 - was it driving you mad? ;) What a lot of waffle but hopefully lots of good stuff too.

Brilliant day - thoroughly enjoyed church then after dropping DD, we went off for our adventure.

Due to be home by 9.30pm then definitely an early night.
