    I got some plastic pots to freeze things in and just read the box and it says not to use them with things high in sugar or tomato based things. Most the things I want to freeze are tomato based. :(
    Is there any reason for them to say that, or is it just because the tomato will stain them?

    No idea about the sugar thing, but tomato will definitely stain them - OTOH, does that matter?
