Mothership thanks for postihg the scone recipe. I have some buttermilk to use up so think I will make these. How thick should they be when they go in the oven?saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Just checked online and chuffed to see that my Fat Club soup is on offer in Sainsbugs till the 21st. I get paid on the 20th, so will top up my second purse then and go and buy gallons of it!!
I'm buying it with 2nd purse funds at 50p per tin, and paying the purse 60p when I use it (still saving on the normal price of 71p).
I bought 16 cans the other day at a cost to me of £8 so a profit of £1.600 -
Morrisons have Yorkshire |tea 160 bags on half price - bought 2 for £1.99 each last night and will buy them back at £3 (the price I pay for aldi gold tea)
I now have £3 in my purse and £12 (based on what I buy it for rrp £17 worth) worth of stock in my cupboards. Slow and steady hey?
I am finding that most of the 'offers' are more than I would pay anyway due to them being on branded items that I don't buy and the fact that I am so used to shopping at discounted stores like B&M/ HB etc.
However when I get paid Thurs i will chekc out asdas specials on toiletries etc that I noticed yesterday - I think 4 for £3 - shoudl keep hubby in bubble bath for a year lol
Ooooh ETA just seen that pears liquid soap (my fav) is 2 for 1 at Sainsburys so will stock up on 4 of those tooPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

About an inch , and a piece of dough about the size of an egg.
I got my yeast from @mazon, what a bargain. Glad someone noticed how many were in the box I originally ordered 4 then cancelled it and ordered one. I think you did the same Kerri LOL.

I need to stock up on some more cereals so will look out for offers on those but apart from that i have enough /sauce/loo rolls/cereal/noodles/spices to last a couple of months ( i think) and enough toiletries to last at least 6 months :rotfl: unless DS & DH decide to use double the amount because of all the stuff in the cupboards! Have enough pasta to last till next year i reckon & gravy to last ooooh probably 2 years
We've run out of juice so i may get some stocks in of these. They are about 90p in ald* and i keep wondering if they will hike the price to be in line with a$da & Te$co

I place lots of small orders when there's a promotion on and spread out the delivery, I have stuff coming a few times a month until August. I find this keeps my freezer topped up, and every time I use something I pay the 2nd Purse £3. remember to use Quidco, when I get the money from them I buy something else from DR, usually something I cant afford normally as a treat
it feels good too not having to worry about buying meat for six months as its all paid for, I'm also using their freezers to store the meat until I want it.
I have tried their meal planner packs, they were good, but NOT as good as you can make yourself at home. Their winter braising packs are good too, when they are on offer, good freezer fillers.
I've noticed they go round all their stock so there are some good bargains to be had. I will be posting any worthwhile offers as soon as I see them, usually as I'm buying them, I will highlight them in bold on my posts so keep a lookout for them1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Slightly off topic, but I want to make some proper bread (I will make sure the oven works this time) and I was thinking about how people have the stones to go in the oven. Can anyone recommend one I could buy with my rainforest vouchers from work? xDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
