  • When cold, olive oil goes cloudy. When you want to use it bring it in to warm and it will turn back to it's normal colour. Happened to me before and I used it and was ok. HTH

I bought 7 bottles of EV olive oil in Mr M's the other week when they were half price (that's all they had left on the shelve) and stored them in the garage. Went in today to get something from MunniMart and notice that it has frozen and looks rather 'odd' - anyone know if it'll be okay once its brought into the warm? Hope so, otherwise that'll be a lot of money that has been wasted!!

Being completely selfish sorry:o, but glad that the SM's don't have any offers on at the moment, as my 2nd purse is owed nearly £70 so don't really want to be forced into buying any more at the moment til end of month when new grocery budget starts and I am then working entirely in cash:T
    Found this for you :D

Well I am just about to have my first stew with DR beef, to be honest I have only made a couple in the past but as they didn't pass muster with OH I gave up (I'm a bit of a steak and chips girl) :D:D At the rate I am going I will have used all my meat and will have to place another order very soon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Also made a huge apple crumble, funny thing is before I would have not thought twice about cooking a huge crumble but today I felt really mad at not having 2 dishes to make 2 smaller ones, so I could freeze one

I could get used to being at home full time though but DD says I would go nuts in a month.......................tomorrow is carrot cake day, cos I bought a huge 2kg bag from Mr T's for 77p (am trying to work out how I can make another to freeze :rotfl:)

It really changes the way you think about everything :T

Hmmm my housemate has managed to use half a bottle of my olive oil within just over a week of putting it in the kitchen. I use half a bottle in about 2 months:eek: I haven't taken the rest out of the car, so might just keep storing them there and will decant into a little bottle when for my own use as it runs out.

    Hello everyone!

Mr*C# in our area seems to have run out of the *leen*x T Rolls:(
I will keep checking because they often re-stock, but my supplies are beginning to drop low now.

Have brought a bit more from my store today, so my 2nd purse is beginning to build back, but my 3rd purse is doing better:)

Hope everyone else is doing ok:)

5:2 Diet started 28/1/2013 only 13lbs lost due to Xmas 2013 blip.
  • I thought I had lost my Second Pursing way, but I just sat down and added and deducted everything and it actually balances :j

    Previous SP total was £29.30

DD bought £20's of laundry stores which I will use but not for ages, as I already have loads.

Then DD paid SP £4.00 for some diet pepsi......that was my cost price, but since I usually just pay and she drinks it, I am thinking of it as a definite PROFIT!

Then I paid SP £14.50 for stuff I had used from Sallys Stores and now the SP has £27.80 :D

For anyone interested in the nitty gritty:-

Diet pepsi cost me 17p a tin, paid SP 20p a tin.
Magnums cost me 50p each, paid SP £1.00 each.
Butter cost me £1.15, paid SP £1.50
Chicken Fillets from freezer cost £1.99, paid SP £2.50.
Posh DR mince cost £2.75 but just paid SP £2.50

So some small profits, one small loss and some 50% profits for me this week!!

I cannot believe how much I am LOVING this Second Purse challenge!! :rotfl:
