Ok I am gonig to confuse myslef massively here but...

Before I started the 2nd purse I bought a load of stuff from Approved Foods - would it be cheating to use money in my 1st purse to buy stuff from my pre-existing stock and add to second purse? Seem s silly not to buy stuff from myslef that i have in but alsoI used 1st purse to buy it in first place - perhaps I should just pay 2nd purse the difference between what I bought it for and rrp so I'm not poaying for it twice from 1st purse?

    Arrrrggggg

  • rachbc I did exactly that, I have always overbought and stocked up on offers, so when I started the 2nd purse in Jan everything went into the shop, and I split the difference between the original purchase price and full price as a price to pay for all those items. That's why I've got a stockpile worth nearly £600 after only 6 wks. I don't think it's cheating...who would you be cheating anyway? You are saving more of your money for you. Lots of us are doing things slightly differently to suit ourselves. Mothership is happy with that, she's just chuffed that we've embraced the ethos of her conception! (I think :))

Thanks MWAM - I know its my system my rules so just need to think it through a bit.

I think I will make an inventory of freezer (full of meat from recent ocado offer) and stock and decide what I will buy and at what price - lots of rice, pasta, dreid fruit etc. Porb several £100 if I am honest!

BTW - my locla B&M had packs of 12 el paso wheat tortilla for 29p - only 1 left but will try other branch tonight and see if I cna stock up - had long shelf date too :)

  • My Poundland said they couldnt get any more of the Finish Powerball tablets so I was really pleased to find them lurking in the 99p store!

    99p Store 15 x Finish Powerball for 99p so 6.6p each

As a comparison Wilkos had a box of 25 reduced to £4.00 which is 16p each!!
  • Mothership, so glad you are feeling better today, and you meds get sorted out very quickly.

    Just noticed that L**l has Nes***e G**d Bl**d on at £4.00 for 200gr as from tomorrow 16th:) , I think Tracey12 was looking for some .
    2nd purse £50.00

Take care Mothership glad you are feeling a bit better.

2nd Purse building back nicely and also quite pleased with my third purse. My GC is out a bit as I am a bit overpspent on where I want to be for the year, but it's not too bad.

So looking forward to the summer when I grow my own veg/salad. this is going to help supplement things alot:), so hoping things will even out a bit then.

I've just made a loaf of bread and the cake and biccy tin is full of HM things, so ok for DH packed lunch for a few more days.

Hoping not to spend too much today, but I might be on the lookout for a few bargains a bit later when we go out.

    Have a good afternoon/evening everyone:)

My Oh is so pleased with himself - he made some butter yesterday. I showed him mothership's post and he was desperate to try it. He used full priced cream so it wasn't as ms as it could be but now he will be on the look out for whoopsied cream!

it tasted really nice and we had it with the scones I made yesterday - homemade scones, butter and jam can life get any better:rotfl:

I have made loads of cakes recently so must freeze some of them. I said to OH look at all the choice we have and loads cheaper than buying them. he said but what did we do before you started making them, not buy them! men!

mothership hope you get your meds sorted.

I agree with others if you think things aren't right push. when ds2 was born the midwife said his arms and legs looked short so we were referred to the consultant who said you are short so ds will be. when ds was 7 he was overweight so I too him to the gp who referred us to the hospital. the consultant said some children are overweight and if he was my child I wouldn't be concerned but can refer you on if you would like. uh yes please. it turns out that ds (and ds1 too) has a rare genetic condition so if I hadn't insisted wouldn't have been picked up. like sueP I was made out to be a panicky mum:eek:

Evening all, I'll update the front page when I get back from the PO, just wanted to post my first SP loss :( OH left my clip lock tub of museli in the kitchen and the dogs ate it :( The box is ruined and the museli all gone. I'm absolutely gutted as it's Suma's lovely luxury stuff and is £7.76 for 3kg. I'll have to buy some more from the rainforest with my vouchers from work, although it still costs less than d0rset cer3al and it's got more fruit in :)

We have never eaten so good either, I made 2 dundee cakes and 4 carrot loaves yesterday

Glad you stood up to your docs, if you go with your gut you are never far wrong.
I get treated like a pain in the @rse at the hospital and docs, DD is big like me and I am allergic to wheat (makes me obese) but every time we see a medical profession member they proffer a dietitian at us :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I duly get on my soap box and give them a lecture about food, they retaliate with we have your DD best interests at heart (like I don't) Only the last week the nurse told me that they would not be doing their job if they didn't monitor her weight (She's 20) I told them that they were lucky she didn't have an eating disorder the way they have gone on ..................sorry off soap box I could rant for hours on diets and dietitians or their lack of knowledge:D

Oh dear for fear of falling into your bad books, all I could picture were pooches having a ball snacking on your muesli, it did make me laugh, obviously you have very good taste in cereal, sorry :rotfl:
I hope they got a good telling off :D as well as your OH
