Hi all! :hello:
I can't believe I've only just found this thread! This is something I've been doing unofficially for years. Lately our financial discipline has slipped a little and I need to impose 'rules' again. I'm not after saving for anything in particular, but I want to save a 'financial safety net' of £3000 by the end of the year so any money from doing this will go into that pot.
I've got an Approved Food order coming in the next couple of days. I buy whoopsies when I can and BOGOFs if it is something I'd usually buy. Also I don't know if you all know about it but there is another website that's similar to Approved Food called foodbargains.co.uk
Anyway, Hi!0 -
I agree about doctors...mine told me that my chest pains were heartburn and nothing to worry about.
It was only after my second A&E trip that the on-call doctor said she thought it was gallstones and she was right. Gallbladder is now out and I'm fine
Todays adventures in second purse:
Yesterday I bought Philadelphia from my normal purse as I thought that two for £3 wasn't bad, and I didn't mind paying it but it wasn't enough of a bargain to be a second purse buy. Today I saw the same sodding cheese (garlic and herb, yum!) in M0rrisons for 99p per tub. I bought two from my second purse and will buy back at £1.50 per tub as I obviously didn't mind paying that yesterday, so that will be £1.02 profit for the purse
I do owe the second purse £3, but only have £4ish in my main purse until payday and will need bread and eggs at the weekend, so I have written an IOU0 -

There are a few more of these, but I think these are the best value, they are big enough for 2 they weigh 500g each and delivery is free. I've had them before and cooked them in the slow cooker, nom nom. I'm going to order a few of these separately and spread the delivery over several months. I am soooooooooo chuffed with myself.
Thought I had run out of milk last night but too late to go to SM to restock, so thought OH would go today, but as he didn't pass a shop he didn't buy any more. I therefore went at looked at my MunniMart stock spreadsheet and according to that I had one 4 pint milk left.:j So I went out to the freezer, emptied the whole contents and, yes, you've guessed it...... there at the bottom of the freezer winking at me was the last lot of milk.;) Yippeee! my system is working and it saved another trip to the SM just for milk :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
