"At hygge sig med – to do hygge with someone – can simply mean to enjoy a fun or cosy experience together, but can also serve as a euphemism for more intimate activities."

Knew I did not make that up...

Wow great news AC! Congratulations:) We are signing our contract on Tuesday, hope exchange next week then complete 10th! It all happens so fast.

We haven't had to pay removal company yet - pay on the day. If you are using your brothers mate with a van I'm sure he won't expect you to pay upfront. Not sure how rental property goes but if you find somwhere and want a start date of completion day, can you pay the fees and first month rent on that day? Have you seen one you like yet and asked the process?

Really excited for you. Lists are your friend - get some started so you don't get overwhelmed

Congratulations to you too copperjar. I don't know your plans, as I've been stuck in mine.
Glad you got dates. Hope it all goes really well :)

Would the bank accept a letter from your solicitor after you exchange to confirm that your purchasers' deposit is being held in their client account.

What about your final salary payment......would that be through in time.

If you really can't get your hand on funds then maybe stay at your brothers place for one or two nights. Then hotel for few days until you can sort out your rental.

    Howdy LL:)

TBH , I thought that what you mentioned regarding proof from solicitor would be adequate .
However, I cannot believe the unprofessionalism from nationwide that I have experienced today .
    1) went to branch..doorman said its best to phone up head office , use the phone no. On the back of the card. Our manager is busy
    2) phoned up . Got helpful guy who spoke to 2 different depts for me .
Other people never spoke to me .. Just him who said ' sorry we can't help,you..'
    3) got home , got through to Scotland after waiting 191/2 mins.
    Very wooden reply' it's an auto,aged system,. You have £1500 limit.sorry' .
No manager to talk to . No recommendations etc. Totally stupid and clinical.
4)!aaaaagh. I may pop, into mynlocal branch, as surely a living person can at least listen.

I may speak to Vanquis , about raising limit .
TBH , it's the cost ( plus I have to live for the remainder of the month etc).
I think it's because I'm on a dmp, that nationwide shut up shop.
There are lenders who will loan people cash, who are on a dmp ,but the % is a bit higher.
    May make sense.
I'm trying to move into new place on a weds, with the completion going ahead on the Friday . Far less stressful, but it means I need cash before move . It means I just give keys to chase buchanans at a certain time, and jump,on a train .

Congratulations AC. I've been following this thread the last few months. I can imagine the selling process feels like it's taken a long time to you, but it really does seem to have happened very fast. My offer on a house was accepted on 1st August, and I am still in the process of getting damp / electrical surveys / estimates for work etc etc. And I can't even put it down to being in a chain as it's a probate house.

    Thanks candy :)
It seems that a few folk on here want that too .
I suppose the best thing , would be to close this thread, and open a part 2 thread.
Stops people losing interest after a few pages.

I obviously could be wrong. I think being in London , everything is clinical and fast. When I was talking about pulling out, it was because even I knew all the questions were answered. I was tired , which made me seem too dramatic . I have to admit I was .
Hope you get sorted soon :)

Sorry for the multiple posts .
So, feeling weird at work after the news.
Feeling angry and shocked with nationwide
My brother phones me and wants answers about gardening equipment , while he was in wickes. I literally was walking into my flat.
I phoned nationwide for 25mins total
Brother comes back. Disappears at 9pm
Was supposed to phone friend in Poole between8-9,.
I phone him just after9 . He was initially cross and prickly, but forgave me and all,is well.ate something atb9.30 instead of 6.45
My speech was terrible tonight . Tired . It's been hit and miss the last few days. Tiredness.
I am now typing this in bed on iPad :)

Thanks AC and smodlet. I won't clutter up your thread but I stumbled across it when I had accepted an offer on my place at about the same time as you and hadn't yet found anywhere to buy. Our timescales are similar - now flapping a bit to get all sorted by 10th.

I would avoid getting a payday loan if you can AC, do you have any of your overdraft/credit left? When is pay day? Must be so frustrating to need cash when you'll have £250k in a few days!! Have you decided where to put your equity while you rent? Might need to spread over a few bank accounts? I always thought if I had sold but not yet found anywhere to buy I would put my equity into premium bonds for a few months to see if I could get some winnings!! My equity wasn't anything close to yours though!

    Night, night, sleep tight.
