Morning all
Not a great start, 2 new radiators not working at all again. BHS have finally dispatched my order but with 4 of the 5 items missing - not happy it was the coat to try on DS2.
Still something very nice is happening this morning and I've got DS3's school play later.
Time to feed mogs and make packed lunch, WM onThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Breakfast sorted DS2 is still eating, wm filled just waiting for someones pants.
I'm off into the city centre today with my best friend. I have finished my christmas shopping but my parents have given me money to buy my boys' presents. I not sure how it will go as I have really hurt my hip and am having trouble climbing stairs. Don't know how I did it.
DS1 is freaking out as there was nothing in his advent calendar window today.
MSG Hugs I know how hard it is with a OH with a BD
Hope poorlies are getting better xx0 -
Early start today with DH hunting for his Christmas tie at 6.05. It's his Christmas party today. DD1 had hers last night and is fast asleep. Judging by the noise at 2.30am I think she will be suffering with a sore head when she awakes.
Did HHI before DD2 came down for her breakfast. DS2 came in half frozen from his paper round. DS3 came down 10 minutes later with a raspy voice and sore throat. I've dosed him with parrots and will do his ibupr0fren in the school car park. I have permission to park there now :-)
I have a good morning ahead of me and DD2's school play this afternoon. I will do the remainder of the ironing tonight.
Dancemum you have my sympathies for your hurt hip. Pain healing vibes to you.0 -
Morning!
Still in bed kiddies with granny, no paid stuff, freezing fog outside... I'm going nowhere! My plan today:
Clean bathrooms.
Wm x 2.
Collect dry stuff and sort.
Wrap some presents.
Maybe go to mr m later for a few bits.
Drink lots of tea.
:T
Hugs to everyone, this time of year can be so emotional. :grouphug:Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Good morning! Kitchen tidied, casserole prepared, and I'm washed and ready for work. Late start for me (might as well use by flexi time rather than lose it ) and then a trip to the Big City to give my final presentationDustykitten wrote: »Still something very nice is happening this morning and I've got DS3's school play later.
Enjoy both of those things :T

Morning everyone
I've been running around like the proverbial chicken for the past 48 hours and NOTHING has been done since Monday. Working today and tomorrow, but really need to get my butt into gear these next 2 evenings as there is such a lot to do before I go to Manchester delivering pressies to the rellies at the weekend. I WILL finish and wrap presents tonight, I WILL, I WILL, I WILL, I WILL, I WILL!!!!
Hope you are all keeping well - not had chance to go back through the thread but hugs, spoons, shovels and boots to those that need them.

Good morning
I have been awol for a few days, and haven't caught up the fred yet. So lashings of hugs, sticks, spoons & GWS vibes for any that need them
DW & WM on. I was supposed to be heading out to toddler group this morning, then on to a Christmas 'party' at the soft play centre. But my plans have been scuppered as I noticed a leak in my bedroom ceiling last night :mad: It is the flat bit of the bay - again I don't know if anyone remembers, but I waited months for a friends son to fix it last year - but now it is leaking again. I did call him last night to come & look at this morning, but then remembered that we have Homeserve now - so I called them & they are sending someone round between 8 & 12 this morning. I felt bad when friends son turned up, as promised, but explained that the insurance is covering it
So, fingers crossed, I may be able to pop out to the soft play centre this afternoon.
DH has an interview on Monday at 10.30 :j He really needs to get another job, as the one he has is affecting his (mental)health Everyday he gets closer to just walking out! He has never bought so many lottery tickets!! :rotfl:
ETA - just had a phonecall from Homeserve guy - he is in London at the mo, so has asked if he can come at 7.30am tomorrow. How he was supposed to get here before 12 from London I will never know!0 -
Where's the lovely Lamewolf? I was inspired by her mention of a Sherpherd Spy a couple of weeks ago and set about making one yesterday. I couldn't find the lamb mince in the freezer and we hadn't got any stock cubes or Wouster sauce, but I did find a pack of quorn mince, soy sauce and some bovril. I have to say it tasted amazing and was stuffed full of veggies. Defo do that again and I've got two in the freezer for when I can't be ar*ed to cook.
Got tree and the decs down last night from the attic as that's where we keep the loo paper and the need was urgent. We've discovered a section of the felting is dripping with condensation. Not entirely sure how to deal with that, but I know it's not good.Better is good enough.0
