Morning All!
I finally feel a bit better this morning - not sure about eating meals yet, but I have nibbled a couple of ginger biscuits!
However DD1 now feels sick and has tummy cramps..... and DD2 is battling the worst cold I can remember her having....
DS is not happy with me cos I overslept and woke him late. In my defence I can say we bought him an alarm clock for Christmas last year - and he lost the instructions so he can't set the alarm!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Morning, morning! I am with honey bear....Hope LW is ok....
Son de-cluttered to nursery, had a quick HHC to put rice onto boil ready for egg fried rice tonight, done DW, emptied bathroom bins, emptied food compost caddy, all sterilising soak now, quick S&S in main bathroom after doing a thorough job last night. quick S&S in kitchen
a quick cuppa and a lurk, then I AM going to get on with washing the coving in downstairs loo, as trying to get through the list first before doing it, just isn't working
I will then crack out the paint and get that done, then I am just waiting on some handy helpers to put the cupboards in that have been clogging up the study for ooooooooo 10 months?????:eek::eek:
if I can't get the tiling done before xmas I will nip over to the builders merchant across the road and see if they have an off cut of plywood that the toilet can be screwed onto, then at least it will be functional if not very hygienic to clean around - :j brainwave - I could nip to 99p store and get a couple of packets of their sticky vinyl floor tiles to slap down on the plywood, avoiding aiming issues from DS :T this thread sometimes clears the brain fog away like magic......and who said talking to yourself was the first sign of madness:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
right time for another cup of liquid motivation and I am off up the ladder - back soon;)The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Morning all
Off to PO and launderette shortly - DD wants her sleeping bag cleaned before it is used again (we take our own bedding to my sister's at xmas) and it won't go in my new washer...they are next door to wach other so a 'two-birds' job.
have phoned docs - they have nop cluie why they called me for an 'annual' asthma check (I don't have asthma) and it's not a mistake apparently - tis to be looked into...
have answered call form DWP re prescription claim - am now hoping they will pay for DS's glasses...
house is in a tip BUT recycling's gone AND I remembered to tie bag of batteries to bin and empty shredder
Actually (gets thinking cap on) I might as well take DS's sleeping bag, too...)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
I have decluttered (hopefully) all of Nightmare Lodger's very distinctive hair from the Dy$on roller. Actually, having completed the disgusting task having levered off the soleplate - so that's how you do it! - I realised I'd done the old one! It still hasn't made it to Regenerate, but it will, eventually. So they've both been done.
I've found the coloured felt tip pens I thought I'd donated to a CS, which is great news as I need them for a Frog List task. Whoop whoop.
And I've worked out what to spend my lovely Sealed Pot contents on, and my £2 coin collection. Heating. Lovely, lovely central heating during the day while it's so cold. It'll cover the cost completely and we won't have to be shiver this winter. We normally only have the heating on during the day if a lodger is in but this year, with my MSE frugal habit of saving shrapnel I can be sure of being able to pay the gas bill. Double whoop whoop.
I thought it was going to be towards a holiday which I now realise I neither want nor need, so I am a very happy Honey Bear.

back for a quick cuppa and a lurk - I have made a start in the downstairs soon to be loo - but it is freezing in there - two outside walls, no rad in there and I have to lean up against the wall to keep my balance and a steady hand!
trying to get off the coffee coloured paint mistakes from the white coving is proving a near impossible task - the more elbow grease I use the more I pull off the fresh white paint on the coving revealing the ageing yellowy paint underneath while the coffee coloured paint marks just laugh at me :mad::mad:
So I have evoked the powers of the eye-shadow brush and Simon Le Bon to help me - precision and a smile on my face is essential for this job - the underneath of the coving is about 4mm and I need to be on the mark for the bigger splodges on the main coving.
I have done one strip of coving, but the coffee colour still shows through in natural light - one more dabbing coat, then I will have to paint the whole coving again to get an even finish and remove all the brush marks :mad::mad:
so I have retreated to kitchen with cuppa, lappy and to give my arms a quick massage before I make good on the next length of coving - I shall silence a bit more of this frog before I get DS from nursery :rotfl:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Bathroom floor cleaned. What's revealing with fly lady is that you don't need lots of cleaning materials. Micro fibre mop + Asd@ lemon washing up liquid + hot water = cleaner floors. Think previously I always thought I can only clean if I have a cupboard of cleaning bottles.

Feel quite tired now so must rest :A
Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Hello Ladies
I am still here flying in the background, just not getting a chance to post much except when at paid stuff, boss just thinks I am working away! Kids have pantos/clubs/Christmassy things as well as normal activities so I am doing what I can, when I can, both kids rooms are still spotless, DS even took his wee friend up to show him his ‘new room’ !!! Isnt it amazing how clearing out his room makes him think its new!!! My bedroom is a mess, amazed kids are not nagging me to get that done, I only have anchor boys tonight so plan on spending a bit of time in my room to get it nice & tidy again! My tree is still not up, I do it 12 days before, and our elf left us the task of putting the tree & decorations up so that will be done hopefully after dinner but before anchor boys so I can get into my bedroom

*Uses crowbar to heave BD off lap* Lurking, HB. Lurking, as I'm not in a good place right now and don't want to spoil the general merriment of the season for everyone else.Honey_Bear wrote: »Where's the lovely Lamewolf? I was inspired by her mention of a Sherpherd Spy a couple of weeks ago and set about making one yesterday. I couldn't find the lamb mince in the freezer and we hadn't got any stock cubes or Wouster sauce, but I did find a pack of quorn mince, soy sauce and some bovril. I have to say it tasted amazing and was stuffed full of veggies. Defo do that again and I've got two in the freezer for when I can't be ar*ed to cook.
Glad you were inspired to do Shepherd Spy - I always make mine with soya mince.:o It's one of those recipes where you can throw in pretty much anything that wants using up, imho.;)
