Thursday afternoon we had an email from the Housing Association asking as to confirm that we are happy with the price of 1483€ to pay for the work and to confirm that the work can begin 8am Monday morning. That confirmation email we sent straight away.

Friday was the start of our holidays, my mum and a friend came on friday evening to Belgium to visit for 3 nights and had to go back home on the Monday. Friday night we went out for dinner which they paid for mine, OH had stayed at home, saturday the 4 of us went to dinner which OH and I paid for and then sunday we went to visit OH's parents so mum could meet them and they had made us some dinner to bring home to eat at ours, so we had Flemish stew on sunday evening. Monday morning mum was leaving, so we said our goodbye's on the sunday. :-(

Monday morning 8am the builders were due, they were here at 7.30am . The living room/dining room wall had the soundbloc done and half of the bedroom was done.

Have to log off here the elecy will be turned off for a few mins.

    Work on house
Tuesday morning the soundbloc in the bedroom was finished.
The electrian then put the new sockets into the new soundbloc wall.
OH and I had just finished hoovering and mopping the floors when the painter called. He had just come to check the walls were ready for him to start work on the wednesday. 9am Wednesday morning the painters came and started the plastering over the seams of the gyproc that was used for the wall. They wanted to come back thursday to paint the walls but OH and I were due back to work that day and OH had a dentist appointment, friday we had to work for Co#2. Monday is a long day in work, we have to work for both Co#1 and 2, so the painters will be back on tuesday our less busy work day.

    Money news
We had the bill for our house contents insurance which I paid straight away.
    The mortgage payment came out.
I made a payment to the UK debts.

We had a bill for the electric and gas for the year. We had a DD set up for the monthly payments, but the payments weren't enough. I purposly set it up lower then the amount they wanted us to pay each month, as when you get in credit they send the money back to you and then up the DD as you would then be behind with them again. So the DD for the amount we now owe them will be coming out about the 11th of this month.

OH and I every year get a bonus from work, this year mine was more then OH's as he was on sick for 9 weeks last year. We have to call into the union office this week for them to process the payment and it takes a few days to get to our accounts.:) I just need to work out which debt is best fro me to pay with mine.

Last month we saved 76.10€ from the shopping budget. I have added this to the savings pot, this money will be used if another pot is short when the bills come it, hoping I don't have to use this pot of money too often.

Health fund bill for OH and I needs paying, will get that paid online in a min.
The electric and gas money has still not come out of the bank, this was due to come out on the 9th and was for the final bill for this year.

The soundbloc work has been completed and we are just waiting for the bill for that.

The tax bill for this year still hasn't been sorted out from their end, they had a problem with their online site and more then half the ppl who filled their taxes in online as still waiting for the final tax bill.

Still trying to decide which debt is best to pay, will need more thought with this as they are all on 0% interest.

This afternoon OH and I made use of our afternoon off, we went to the recycle park to drop off some old chip oil and an old laptop of OH's that would cost too much to try and fix.
We then quickly went to the bank to get me a new card reader as mine wasn't showing all the numbers to log into my account.
We then went off and did some topup shopping, I have told OH that if we need anything else now before Christmas then tough I won't go shopping again now.

I also seen that I have been charged for a free trial subscription on an audible site, that I had cancelled on their site, but another part of their site still had an open account for me, so that money should be on it's way back to me in 7-10 days.

I have also volunteered to run the Pay All Your Debts Off By Xmas 2016 thread. Since setting the thread up yesterday evening we have had 18 members join. :T
