Life insurance for both OH and I came out on friday, glad thats paid for another year, now to start saving again for next years.
Sat was a paid holiday here so we went to OH parents as OH's brother was going to visit with his kids, we had food cooked for us there as was given left overs for yesterdays dinner, so that was 2 days worth of meat we had and didn't use, this will help reduce next months food bill slightly.
Off to work now, only this week left then we have a weeks vacation.:jPAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

Been a tough week in work, glad it's over now though. As from Monday OH and I are on vacation, we have planned to stay home and then just go out on day trips.
Both OH and I were awake before 5am, hoping that the next week we can sleep a bit longer and not wake up at the same time that we are up for work.
A small payment has been made to the UK debts.
OH and I cycled to work last Tuesday so the money we would have used has been saved in the OP pot.
Dinner today will be chilli from the freezer so no cooking for me today, all that needs doing today will be the washing then we can go out for the day.PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

OH and I cycled to work Tues evening so will add the petrol money to our new car fund, we have decided that any money saved from petrol will now go towards a new car instead of mortgage OP.
Mortgage payment has gone out
Small amount has been paid to UK debts.
In total last month we saved 60.43€ from our shopping budget so that has been added to the mortgage OP pot, really need to contact bank now about paying this off the mortgage of the money will just end up getting used for something else.
Waiting on payday, it should be anyday now, wish work would pay on the same day each month.

Work is being a pain right now, from an order we requested back in may only about half had been delivered last week, the rest just never turned up, so now need to contact my manager and complain that they didn't order all that was needed. Also haven't heard about my vacation that was requested for later this month.
Our car has started to play up, we took it to the garage who couldn't see anyhting wrong with the car, and just put it down to the age of the car. While we were in the garage we got some new wiper blades and an indicator light as there were needed, was easier to get from th garage then from a car shop and had to replace them ourselves.
OH and I decided we had better get some breakdown cover as we didn't want to be breakdown and be stuck without the car, the money for this cover came from the emergency fund, and we have now added a catagory in YNAB to make sure that we have the money to pay in 1 go when it is due next year.PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

The main shopping this month has been ordered onlien and collected.
Through some codes to use on the website I was able to save 15€ off the cost of the shopping. We also used some vouchers to get points on certian products, before we did the shopping we already had 503 points and knew that we would get a 5€ voucher for these points. We also needed a few other items that we were not able to add onto the online order as it was too late to adjust the order, we utsed the 5€ voucher towards this, with all the points gained from these 2 parts of shopping we are back up to over 250 points towards the next 5€ voucher.:T
The 20€ saved from this months shopping I have put the money towards mortgage OP.PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

Last week we had a builder out to give a quote for some work that is needed to be done, the wall between the neighbours and us is very thin and we hear all they are saying and when we go upstairs we can still hear them talking in their living room. The housing association that owns the house next to us has finally agreed to help us find a solution. The best solution is a soundblock system, so this is what the builder is quoting for. The electrics will also need to be moved when this work has been done. The housing association will do the electric work themselves and has agreed to pay some money towards the cost of the soundblock work. Just waiting for the quote now from the builders and then will find out how much the housing association will pay towards this cost. We have some money saved for this work but until we know the full cost we can't be sure we have enough in the house repairs budget for the work, if there is not enough there is surely enough in the bank to cover the work, will just have to borrow from another pot if need be.
The car is also in the garage this week. OH and I thought that there would be a bus we could come home on but found out there wasn't so that meant a 1 1/4 hour walk home.
We cycled to work this evening saves us walking anymore today, the money saved has been moved to the new car fund, hopefully we won't need a new car anytime soon as that will completely wipe out all our money with having to pay for the above building work too.PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

Still no news from the housing association with the quote from the builder from last week, I thought we would have heard by now, was hoping the work could have been done next week when we have time off work and would be at home.
Cycled to work again on Wed morning, then had to pay bus fare to go and collect the car, I would have cycled to collect the car if it hadn't been rainy heavy and windy.
So the car is home, the garage did a full service while it was there, the biggest cost seemed to be the brakes, so thinking it wasn't just brake pads/shoes we needed, think the brake discs were also needed. The good part is that for the MOT itself there wasn't anything that needed doing apart from the brakes. The final bill come to over 600€. The car just needs to go to the MOT station now today, so it should pass. (Wish the garages did the MOT's over here)
The car repairs pot didn't have much in it, so the bill has been paid from whatever was in the repairs pot, the MOT pot and the rest from the new car pot.PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉
