  • I'm really good now thanks, apart from what's happened (I'll explain in my diary tonight), I actually feel like I've found my new me. Hmmm should I start a new thread with a better title??

The babies sound adorable and I can't believe how quick that 8 months has gone. I bet those bonnets look tiny now, and how lovely that they came to stay.

DD is in exam mode for the next few weeks so its all revision in our house at the moment and I think she is doing well but she doesn't want to say in case she jinxes it. I'm so glad we moved before these exams as she keeps mentioning how quiet it is now we've moved.

When is the trip to NZ? Is that the first holiday?

    Tink xx

That's great news :) Definitely start a new diary with a new title if you feel like it will help, especially if you are in a good place now.

Hope DDs exams go well - I bet she'll be relieved when they are over! Fab that she's noticing the difference now you have moved too :)

NZ is October - it is the first trip booked although it's OHs 30th in July so I've been squirreling little bits of money away and hope we can get a nice last minute city break :D lots of memories to make before we have a little one!

The bonnets look tiny but I have retrieved them and will be saving them for the next little one whoever it may be - they are so lovely!

I've been busy on Prolific Academic trying to increase the money in the NZ savings account and it is steadily increasing which makes me very happy :)

I'm keeping an eye on late breaks for OHs birthday but I think I might really leave it close to the wire to try and get a really good price and if that fails I'll take him to Cornwall as he's never been and I love it there :)

How can I take offence - you are taking my advice by ignoring the other bit - taking control of the situation to take out the stress. Everyone does things their own way. If some months are misfires are they considering Clomid for you?
To be honest the entire time you are trying to conceive and are pregnant everything anyone says is wrong and annoying. and then you have the baby and it gets more annoying. I just never had anyone to talk to who knew what it was like to fail in this and I found I only wanted listen to people that understood.
House. House is going good but just too slow for my liking. I have no patience and hubbys deployment dates changed and I'm stuck in limbo for a month with an unusable garden :( can't do anything myself. Keep spending money :(

I've been on metformin for 5 weeks now in the hope that will hopefully help me regulate. I'm happy to look at Clomid (and the docs are happy to prescribe it now) but not until we get back from NZ, as we will have been trying for over a year then so I think that's giving it a fair shot knowing everything that's going on inside. I'm a bit scared of clomid as I'm petrified of having twins!

I think that's part of the problem Kitten, I feel so horrible but everytime someone says it will happen when it's supposed to, or it won't happen because I'm worrying about it too much I want to explode :o I just want to talk to people who 'get it' or who won't say the usual things, which is so selfish when they are just trying to make me feel better. OH gets it in the neck regularly - especially last week when he casually mentioned that he doesn't think it will happen for us and that he thinks we will need IVF - he's lucky he had a head left :o

I bet you'll look back at the house in a couple of years and barely remember this in between time! It will all be worth it in the end :D x

I had a lovely bank holiday weekend, hope everyone else did too :)

We went up to Southport to visit my grandparents and they have given us a bed for our spare room which is much appreciated as we had been putting off buying one. The one in there is our old king size bed and it's a bit big for the space so we needed a double, and they have just upgraded their bed to a king size so have shuffled their old bed into their spare bedroom, leaving us with their old spare bed (which is the comfiest thing ever :)) spent a night with them and had a lovely meal out which they covered and then took them for breakfast in the morning to say thanks. I love spending time with them :)
Found out a close friend of theirs died last week and it has hit my nan very hard - she's most upset and worried about my grandad now as their friend was 10 years younger and very fit and healthy but a massive heart attack got him at the beach so she's watching my grandad like a hawk now.

Still need to work a bit harder on the NZ fund, but there will be £300 a month going in there July and August so we should hit the target, I'd just like to have a bit more of a buffer in there than we actually think we need in case of any unexpected expenses whilst we are there. Am at £46 on YG so hopefully that will come good before we go, although you never know with that site!

I sold a bigger item on the bay of E last night so that will be a nice chunk towards the NZ savings when it clears. It will go in the post today and I won't withdraw it for a couple of weeks as I'm always paranoid that something will go wrong - nightmare buyers in the past have given me paranoia :o

Got a couple more things on (thanks to the sell for £1 offer :)) which will end next week so fingers crossed this bumps up the NZ fund (or the mortgage OP pot...don't tell OH! :o)

My FD bank account switch went through yesterday and everything seems good (apart from the nine million layers of security just to log in online. I know security is key but jeez!) so I've opened the regular saver and set up a monthly £300 transfer into that and will just wait for the switching bonus money to be paid so that can go into the NZ pot :D

Progress with YG is painfully slow, I just want to hit payout now - so close! PA is going as well as ever though - cashed out £22 last week and already up to £17 again :D

Goal in regard to OHs CC is to get it below £1000 by the end of june. He does not know that this is 'our' goal :rotfl:

Popping in so I can find you again to catch up. Once I've caught up I'll reply properly ;)

Just a note clomid worked for us on our first after 3 years of trying. We then went on to have more "surprises" that we where told would never happen. Don't give up hope x
