haha thanks Jonsey, you shouldn't have /secretlysupersmug

What are clean share classes? o.O Is there no way to move back to the finance role? :(

And damn! Here I thought that I was becoming a swimming expert :o

I have run out of money! It's a horrible feeling, I feel so sorry for people who live paycheck to paycheck. It's so uncomfortable.

In related news, I went to a comic book expo. It was great. I got all of these toys!

Today I got a horrible call at work (first thing grr) where the guy on the other side of the phone was just dreadful, he started complaining about me to his colleagues while I was on the phone! The manners of some people!

My friends are all going through really rough times. I don't really want to bother them with my little worries. It's really odd, I don't know who to go to, I have my mum but she's also going through a rough time.

I'm getting much worse. I get out of my seat like an old lady. It will be alright, I just have no one with the bandwidth to deal with this right now.

Sorry to hear you're having a poopy day KP. It's depressing when you're having a tough time and you look around for support only to find those you care about are having problems too. Suppose adulthood is about reality and not the idealistic picture we imagine as a child.

Anyway, enough doom and gloom as this is my debt free day (shameless plug). My friend travelled "daaan sarff" at the weekend to go to a comic thingy, maybe it was the same one? He came back with so much stuff and loads of pictures - people go all out on costumes don't they!

!! I said congrats on your thread, but seriously well done you!

As to the dressing up, YES! People do fantastic dressup things (might be called cosplay?) My sister literally ran into some judges and she was terrified. They looked so realistic! Oh and I saw two Austin Powers greet each other and pose for pictures.

Oh oh, there was this little girl with her dad. She was dressed up as Elsa from Frozen and looked about to cry (her dad was purchasing something), I hate the sound of crying children so I knelt down and asked:
    "Are you Elsa?"

    "No, I'm Emily"

    Bwah ha ha! Kids.

This weekend has been thoroughly boring. I'm very very happy with it! I really needed a rest, feel so much better!

I have found that if I live a short train ride away, I have a 10% deposit on a one bed flat! (ish) Very happy about it. I've been thinking about how to decorate it, I'd like the living room to have a grey theme with this kind of bookcase and this kind of rug... I want a red bed room. I already have the bed linen, some bits and the rug, all in use now of course. I'm thinking about getting the bookcase above, my current one is falling apart.

I'm onto the last module of AAT level 2, it's common sense! It's difficult to motivate myself to do it as well as after this I need to find another £1k to do the next level. I really don't want to take it out of the rest of my savings, so I might dedicate my next month's pay to it and scrimping like hell.

Watching hotel of mum and dad, sometimes these people are really amazing, managing your money for the first time is so difficult!

Been applying to more jobs, fingers crossed! I am starting to vary my job hunt as well to at least get pointed in the right direction. :)

(Woo! The Lego Movie is nearly out!)

Oh you little monster!! Please post a warning before sending me to yummy websites like the Range so I can avoid and just imagine your bookcase and NOT spend half a thousand pounds in my head before I stop and close the page!

Crossing all fingers for your job, and just FYI you became a character from The Big Bang Theory to me in your last two posts. This must mean that you are my hero!

Welcome to scrimping pay cheque to pay cheque albeit briefly and for a good cause. If you decide to buy that little place, put $60 in your budget for YNAB (you need a budget) - the most epic little piece of kit I have ever had a 31 day free trial of ;) I am buying! Read the Rules & get hooked. It has got me through a tricky month with style points!

Lmao at the little girl. Kids are incredible. Jellytot is getting so chatty it is hysterical. She does a brilliant Keith Lemon "Potatoes" for some reason. And yesterday she came up to me as we were about to go out and said all the things I normally say to her when we go out.

She held her hand up to mine, and said 'Come on, hold hamds (yes hamds) lets go! Going nout, lets go downstairs, see Shani?' - I was a bit gobsmacked by it all and mum cried laughing. When I took her hand she marched me to the door and off we went!

Now, onto something else. YOU are just as important as your friends, regardless of what they are going through. You are there for them and likewise they will be there for you. Even if it is just to listen to you then moan about their own problems and for you both to drown your sorrows together. And if you can't bring yourself to 'burden people' then burden me! I'm right here, missy so moan away. I have big shoulders and a sad understanding of what you're going through. All ears, alright?! *hug* - mushy stuff over ;)

Off to close my bedroom window and get a barely early night. It's windy and it is rattling like anything. Please make sure your new place when you get it has double glazing!!!! :D:D

Aww Lilt, thank you. My close friends have all managed to lose close loved ones within days of each other and all families are bickering.

Glad you and jellytot had so much fun with your parents, she sounds hilarious. Though I have never seen more than 5 minutes of Lemon, too crude for my liking.

Into a new financial month! £300 in, £40 out (bought mum and sister lunch).

Last week I was very good, apart from friday. On a related topic, I have new shoes. They are beautiful. They're red, orange and pink. They were £5 from a charity shop.

I love board games, video games, role play games and TV. I'm a fairly obsessive person, so get into things like Pokemon pretty easily. :rotfl:

    August goals:
    • Get my mum some good presents for her birthday
    • Pass the final exam for AAT Level 2
    • Purchase next level of AAT- start working on it immediately
    • Get rid of more rubbish from my room
    • Apply to more jobs- try to get through to more interviews
    • Restrict spending
    • Start swimming

I was totally part of the Pokemon generation and so still harbour a soft spot for it. I remember one Easter going totally crazy and buying loads of cards and trading them with my friends. Later that year I sold all my "shinies" and bought a gameboy colour and Pokemon red. Loved that game. One of only a few I actually completed.

    Hey KP,
How have I not been updated with your diary (*stamps feet in tantrum at computer). Sorry to hear about the upset and stress you've been going through, but I'm glad that you're keeping things on track with MSE stuff x

You may be interested to know about the reboot pokemon coming out in September. I'll be playing that, nothing else. I won't be socialising, talking about anything but pokemon. So excited! (dooo ittttt)

Lol, hi Gib, it might be because your computer thinks I'm boring! In which case, it is wrong. /awesome How are you?

Well, well, well. I have spent £850
    :eek::eek:
    In one day!
On the next level of AAT, man am I poor this month.

My final level 2 exam is next week as well, that's another £50! I'm a big spender!

Today was the first day that I didn't have awkward silences with the ex on the commute. I just talked about a horror movie I watched the night before, constantly. Progress!

On a slightly less happy note, I am in pain. It keeping me up but I've decided to start swimming tomorrow which I'm hoping will help. Thinking one hour of gentle swimming with regular breaks to start off with. I'm hoping to build it up to more active and longer sessions. If I don't do it, you must tell me off.

Nobody yell at me! I went swimming! It was great, I felt the best I have done in years, everything was supported but I couldn't swim very much, I have no strength. I'm super achey and super tired but it was great and I want to go back.

I had a splurge yesterday... I bought 8 DVDs and a DS game for around £17. I love charity shops. Unfortunately I have to take one back because they gave me the wrong disc, these things happen.

    Exam is on Tuesday >.<

    :) love the kitty!

I wouldn't shout at you anyway, but great news re: the swimming. Glad you enjoyed it.

Also, glad that the commute went well. What horror film did you watch? Love em! Plus you can also visualise your other half in the traditional 'helpless screaming woman' role if he's being particularly naughty or annoying ;) (please tell me off if that's an inappropriate comment and I will apologise).

Exciting news re: AAT. Really hope the exam on Tuesday goes well. How are you feeling about it? x
