Hi everyone - I couldn't sleep so decided to get up early and make up for it with a snooze this afternoon! I think I'm just too excited about DS1 and family's visit tomorrow, plus I'm panicking that we won't be ready in time! Today's going to be really busy!
Thanks for the kind comments about the doll.
Shaz - here is a pattern I found for a knitted baby doll http://mintvillage.blogspot.com/2009/12/berry-baby-free-pattern.html I don't like the knitted-in hat so would make a separate hat for it. Don't forget the Jean Greenhowe Rainbow Babies free pattern here http://www.jeangreenhowe.com/patterns.html just scroll down to the last pattern on the page.
Kinsey - I love your little lamb! He's really cute.
If we have time we'll be moving my PC and desk into the room that is meant to be my office but has been used for various other things since we moved in. At the moment the desk is in the dining area of the kitchen but it takes up so much space that we can't use the table properly and, as there will be six of us this week, we need to be able to seat all of us for meals. The office will be a lovely workspace but is a bit further away from the kettle, sadly! Still, once it's all fitted out (whenever that will be), I should be able to keep all my crafty stuff to hand - at the moment, most of it is still in boxes. Yesterday, I had to to hurriedly shorten some curtains which we'll be hanging on a pole from one of the beams in the big bedroom that we've been working on. The area is low under the eaves and will be ideal for storage, but will need proper doors which we don't have time to make now, so the curtains will hide yet more boxes.
Last night, I started a crochet brooch for my Mum for her birthday. I want to incorporate some old lace in it, so I shall be experimenting with that later.
Well, I'm sure I shall pop in again later - right now, I might take a cuppa back to bed and see if I can catch up on my sleep!

A crochet brooch incorporating old lace sounds intriguing mioliere, hope it works out. Good luck with getting everything ready, you must be getting so excited now, have a lovely time. You could always get another kettle0

Kinsey - if I like the brooch, I'll post a photo! I have a spare kettle and I think your idea is brilliant, so I shall definitely do that!
