Welcome to the weekly Flylady Thread. Its been lovely to see some de-lurkers and some newcomers; do please post even if it's just to say 'list completed'

Thank you Valli for last week's thread.

It is your responsibility to read the forum rules, please follow them on this thread as Flylady has been here a LONG time and is a fabulous support and resource for lots of us.

The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon!

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
WM ~ Washing machine
TD ~ Tumble dryer
SC ~ Slowcooker
BM ~ Breadmaker
DW ~ Dishwasher
SOAADFA ~ Sit on 'bottom' and do 'nothing'
KH/XH/FW ~ Ex-husband and other not so polite versions
DH/DD/DS/DW/DP ~ Dear husband/daughter/son/wife/partner/whatever
OH/SO ~ Other half/significant other
NN ~ nice neighbour
Toxic (friend/mother/sister/whoever) ~ person in your life that seems to exist to make your life miserable
AF ~ Aunt Flo 'time of the month'.. nothing to do with flying but it comes up often.
ETA ~ Edited to add
Gibble ~ miscellaneous crap that appears forever homeless
Dot-to-dot ~ pick a small area (not a whole room) like a chair/coffee/table/shelf/worktop or wherever- thats your first 'dot' - totally clear it - clean it - and only put back what should be there - deal with what you have removed (not just move it somewhere else) then if you have time move on and do the same to another 'dot' -the idea is just like a dot to dot puzzle, you aim to join up all the dots and have a tidy room. The trick is to keep each dot tidy until you get them all joined up! All credit to AnW's Mum for this one
RoD ~ Room of Doom, the one room that feels like it is a permanent pit and cannot be used to its potential!

Mr S/A/T/M/L/Al - supermarkets Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi. You get the picture!!

Excellent. Glad it's the kitchen. It needs it as we were away over the weekend. Barring a trip back to change cars after someone hit us at a roundabout and we were brought home by flatbed.

Trying to manoeuvre 4 twinsets plus kit into my SKODA was interesting :D

Cold diving and I look like I've been garrotted:rotfl: But the weather was glorious. Loch Fyne is beautiful.

Good morning, I am in too this week. Thank you Natty for starting with the kitchen it is looking a bit grim . It's black bin day tomorrow, perfect for my clearing out the cupboards sessions!
Good luck at the dentist Valli. I have a 9.20 appointment at the doctors. I have been putting it off but I realise I am not in a good place health wise and Ned to talk to him.
FBO, I am confused by twinsets too ! Xx

Good morning flyladies, and thanks for the list Natty and Valli for last week's one. Posivibes heading to all those with docs/dentist appts, car problems and icky viruses. Hope all is ok.

I shall potter about a bit this morning - really need to dust, hoover and change the bedding - walk the dogs and then it's off to the hospital with DH. I can feel the butterflies already.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning flyfriends x

I'm in, thanks to Natty and Valli for the threads x:T

Valli I have an appointment with the dentist for next month I have 3 broken teeth (due to me grinding them in my sleep). It was booked in December and that was the first available. I feel your pain. Hope all goes well x

OH decluttered to work. Just sorting DD out for school. The scullery shouldn't take long to do today as it's not bad. I will stick WM on and try to keep the basket empty.

Off to put a rocket on DD. Surely hair can't take this long to brush?:rotfl:

Thanks Natty and Valli for the lists. I'm in as much as possible, luckily the house is in reasonable order as I'm recovering from shoulder surgery and trying to do things one handed.

I'm in thank you for the lists.

Big girl pants (and special make up) on today as I have some stuff to do that I really, really don't want to do. Roll on Wednesday night when I shall relax - these next couple of days will be odd.

    Big hugs all round xx

Thinking of you both, Jazee, and hoping that the butterflies settle quickly xx

Diving brrrrrrr  FBO. Years ago I bought a Cl!0 because it was the only small car into which I could fit a tuba in a hard case, a cello in a soft case, a flute and piccolo (both in hard cases), me and my 2 large bags of school books, and 3 teenagers, each with a school bag and PE kit. My very own Tardis!

DS1 came round yesterday afternoon with DGD1+2 :) and then I managed to get out into the garden for a couple of hours. I have emptied the well-rotted (but rather wet) contents of the wooden compost bin into bags and trugs and discovered that the bin is also well rotted, so I need to get a new one. I took the opportunity to move the bin away from the back door to reduce the number of fruit flies that come into the porch during the summer.

Today's list contains a lot of admin and studying, plus WMx3. I have encourage DH to go out this afternoon and let me study in peace. He means well, but he often brings me cups of tea just when I am at full concentration, instead of when I'm thirsty!

Cleaning will have to wait until later in the week... unless I can persuade DH :A to crack out the hoover and clear the bits of the kitchen and DR floors.

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round x
