Morning
bit dull here today but time to get brighter later
We had a brilliant day yesterday it was BIL's birthday so we met up with him and SIL at a lovely little place, Bourton-on-the Water in the Cotswolds, we had a lovely meal, in good company, stroll around the river, then into all the shops with craft type stuff etc, but I never bought any yarny stuff too expensive not that I am tight but I object to paying over the odds for anything...
Then it was time for coffee and cake ooo yummy,
and talk... well we never stopped...all in all a very happy, relaxing, catch up day.
and I left a little yellow duck in a hanging basket outside a charity shop
I gave SIL a blanket I made for her from the 'Cute and Easy Crochet' book and she loved it...is it just me or do any of you feel a bit nervous when you give hand made gifts
kathy - nothing quite like a bacon sandwich mmm just perfect
ginny - love your herb fence, what a brilliant idea
jean - did you enjoy your night out in the glad rags
shaz - So glad you had a good holiday, Scotland is a beautiful country
f1 - me too... I got stuck in a few weeks ago and cleared the UFO's...somehow another 4 have appeared
after reading one of your posts kathy about knitted cotton dishcloths I thought I would have a go, they work brilliantly so no more bought ones for me,
sending comforting (((hugs))) to all of you missing loved ones

Pippa - I love the hand made dishcloths. They are quick to work up, wash up beautifully, and are really absorbent. I can't find a really good dishcloth here; I stock up with the traditional red-edged white ones when I am in the UK, but I love the 'earth mother' feel of hand made. I had to buy my dishcloth cotton online because I forgot to get some in the UK, so I have a good stock. I should never run out again!
I love the idea of a little yellow duck being found in a hanging basket. I might have to pinch that idea for my latest one. I'll look for a typical French window box!

morning all thank you for the good wishes but yesterday went totally pear shaped.
the heart scan revealed a faster than normal heart rate, which possibly explains the breathlessness mil has been suffering with for years. but whenever i mention it to the dr shes played it down and said its not a problem shes been rushing about etc. anyway senior dr didnt like the look of it so suggested we took an ambulance ride to another hospital to their A&E to get a fast track admission and treatment for heart problem. 5 hours on monitors in A&E they decide she has an infection so 2 bags of fluids, some ABs and paracetamol later we are transferred to the gyne ward. gynie not very happy but VERY helpful, their opinion was that the heart problem is more important than the infection and looks quite serious, so they decide we need another ambulance ride to a 3rd hospital that is heart specialist, at this point (6.30pm) i decide its perhaps best if i go home for clothes etc for her if shes staying. we to the hospital with DH and her stuff and that last i heard was they are going to do tests and shes not going anywhere till they sort her heart prob out. she was not happy when we left her at 9.30 last night, ive got to wait till 11 to ring and see how she is today and where if anywhere she is moving to next. next weeks op now seems in the lap of the gods.
i just want to sleep today but ive got to go work and make the hour up i missed yesterday
hugs to all that need oneSPC~12 ot 124

I think the first person for a hug should be you Mrs MP, goodness gracious what a day, but at least Mil is safe. Hope the news is good today xClearing the junk to travel light

I will get my caravan0 -
Morning folks,
Mrs mp - I do hope you are remembering to breeeeeaaaaathe. You'll be no good to anyone if you don't.
Mil will be in the best place for heart tests etc. Take it from one who has recently 'been there done that' they will leave no stone unturned until they find out the problem, and hopefully be able to fix it for her.
Big squishy hugs for both of you - not forgetting the rest of the family who will be worried sick about Mum / Gran. It's horrible having to sit back and let the professionals do their job as you feel so helpless.
So my family told me anyway.
Hope you get some positive news today.
Pippa, I get a bit grrrrr too when typing on the kindle. Predictive text is sooo blooming annoying. I sometimes forget to check what I've written until nearly ready to press the post button and some of the drivel that I see...... drives me bonkers having to go back and fix it.
Ginnyknit - hope you are enjoying pottering about in your garden.I've got another couple of pods on the fence but have run out of compost ! Must get DS to get some more for me.
Seems quiet on here just now. Maybe everyone out enjoying the sunshine while we have it.
Off to have a look at Kemps website, they sent an email through with some new special offers and I REALLY need to stock up. Not.
